How many back orders do you guys have to fulfill before you're at a positive balance?

Neat on the FMIC compatible. Makes me a feel a little better knowing that I changed it up, I really wanted an EFR, but couldn't take the guessing games any longer. Maybe for the next build there will be something new to try.

Monkiboy,
I know this thread is more about your engine/turbo build but what are your wheel and tire specs? I thought you were on 265/35/18 but don't remember exactly. And what camber did you have to run to get them to fit without rubbing? |

hi qwaktastik. thanks for the questions. wheels are 18x9.5 +44 and you got the tire specs exactly right. i initially ran 18x9.5 +35, then +38, and now the +44. initially i still had my mudguard's front sections. after a few autoxs they began wearing down and i just cut that portion away. i am rolled and pulled front and rear. i never had issues with rubbing at my ride height. i'm usually around 14" front, 13.5" rear. only time i do rub is on-course on hard fast turns and i forgot to change my damping on the coils. feel free to ask any other questions.

The only other thing is the camber specs?
Man, I can't believe you fit 265 star specs on there without rubbing. I know you mentioned your ride height but dang. I'm hoping to run 265/35/18 but in a less aggressive tire (Sumitomo HTZIII), as such will measure closer to 265's compared to yours. For reference, I'm on RCE yellows (might be switching to blacks) and GTWorx/Bilsteins. Thanks for your reply. You're one of the only narrow body guys I know running 265's. I remember Subykid did, but I don't think he's on here much anymore. |

i've played around with a few camber specs. i think initially with the setup i was at -2.1 front and rear. then for a more performance oriented setup i went to -2.5F and -1.8R and now i've been pretty happy with -3.0F and -1.3R. the rears never rubbed. the fronts maybe it's just been that long (3 years) and i don't remember but if i ever did anything it was just trimming the mud guard where it made contact that is also because i was running a good bit more caster, too.
yeah the star specs do run more like a 275 given it's contact patch, you are right. and you're exactly right. on the narrowbody there is only so much you can do. i wanted to go a bit wider but there's only so much room on the 08s hence the need for custom widebody. that and just for kicks. ![]() feel free to let me know if you have any questions. glad to help! |

really, a +44 on a 18x9.5? i wish that i could stick my head under those wheel wells.. i have mm's of inner clearance on 18x8.5+48's w/ 255/35/18specz.
but i am at like 12.5 ride height w/ -2~ camber build looks good man, pick up that new turbo yet? i don't venture over to 3g anymore |

maybe put a new one up comparing your 7064 to the new 7670 after you swap? |

fantastic! then realized he was talking about the IWG turbos and i ordered a EWG and it'll be a couple weeks yet. gotta love the roller coaster emotions with these BW EFRs, haha. thanks geoff for keeping me in the loop and i'll hold you to that photo of the turbo with my PO on it! |

Good luck to both of yall. You will love the 7670 Monki. I can't put in to words how bad ass this thing is and how much more it will be when I turn it up.

if it's anything like the 7064 with a bit more "umph" up top, i will soil my pants every time i drive, i am sure. i'm so happy for you man. sucks about the ill-fitting fullrace parts but i'm sure you'll get it worked out with your shop. can't wait for you to build that motor and watch your car fly, haha! |
