completely understood. I just can't have a stupid loud exhaust in my town, there's just one officer who doesn't like how I always have done up cars

Tony the word quiet is in no way shape or form associated to any part of your car.

As far as the rtv gasket sealant, you can run a tiny bead along the track where the gasket sits. You can also run a small bead on the gasket itself where it mates to the head.

Don't go overboard with the sealant because you don't want the excess to end up in your heads. Make sure you get the correct sealant. You want the kind that gets hard when it sets
Thanks Jeremy I'm all done took about 2 hours, used the blue rtv to hold it to the valve cover and ran a little on the top of the gasket itself, if it's still leaking I'm going to cry then pay someone. Haha thanks though

A bit, the smell is an acquired taste, but someone would probably trade you plus cash from them if they're in need of a cat

Dead on Colin. You get used to the smell, it's not anything bad like rotten eggs like a cat that is clogged or completely gone. And it's not hard to get a sticker with no cats

if youre that worried about it you could gut the cat so it looks like theres still one there. i dont think it will make a huge difference sound wise though. ive run catless, and am currently catted and not a huge difference, but my car isnt that loud anyways...

Yeah, I thought of that, but I'm worried that I'll mess something up. And it sounds like its not worth it that much.
