Now I need a shift knob, it felt like Brian's Cobb sat lower, any suggestions? Weight and "more on my level" would both be a plus

Check out wc lathe works for a shift knob. Everyone is custom made with different materials available. Had a derlin knob on my 08 and now have burnt titanium on my 12. Love the way they both felt only complaint is titanium gets really hot in the summer if it isn't covered with a rag. Some are kinda pricy so depends on your budget too.

I have a copolymer shorty knob from him with brass insert that makes it heavyweight, I used to take it out of my car after driving I loved that thing so much hahahaha

Mine is actually a KillerB that I got at WBM. Johnny has the Cobb one though. To me Delrin is the way to go, has a great feel to it and never really gets too hot or cold. I can definitely see where weighting it would be better, i believe that KillerB has weighted versions as well as ones that sit lower and higher. I looked for a long time and just couldn't decide what to get. WC is great but I didnt want to spend that much. I got mine for $30.

Also, while i'm on a posting spree, do you already have a short throw in there? I've got the Kartboy one so it does sit a little lower.

No short throw yet, doing the knob then we'll see.

In my 07 wrx I loved my kartboy ss(pretty low and super short shifts) had a momo knob at the time(solid feel). with the 2011 I got the kartboy again and then contacted wc lathe werks for this masterpiece...

not that this sits any lower than what you are looking for, just thought id throw out some ideas. Its all personal preference, I prefer this.

I'll need to drive Brian's again, I thought it was too short!

Also they say that killer b is the same weight as stock, isn't the whole point to add weight?

Eh idk, some people like more weight and some people like less. For me it was more about feel and shape.

You're welcome to try it tomorrow if you'd like!

Hey everyone I just moved to Springfield, MA after 8 years Active Duty Army and I drive a very fun 2011 SWP WRX does anyone by any chance have a 2011 or 12 SWP STI that would like to trade trunks. I'm willing to pay for the trade, But I have tried all the forums and man is it hard to find.

Best bet is to post up in the nesic trunk swap thread or post a FS/FT in the classifieds

I did both and so far no luck so i figured I'd stretch out my search. Gotta network if I wanna ever get the right parts for my car. haha.
Since everyone here is from around my area i figured if you guys and girls ever see something that you could let me know.
