^That is great deal. My dealer is going to be holding a few grand over just because of the limited quantities.

Historically, Toyota's sports cars have held their value remarkably well. Ever priced a Celica, MR-2 or Supra? All frustratingly overpriced on the used market.

There are quite a few dealerships charging a big premium in Southern California (between $4,000-$6,000), but I managed to get mine for MSRP.

Paying over than MSRP is completely idiotic. When I worked at dealerships if a customer payed anything more than MSRP for a car we would laugh out ass off after they left.

If you paid over MSRP you need to check your state laws. Texas has a law that a dealership cannot legally go over MSRP unless the car has been already titled. Once it is titled it is considered a "used" car and then you can legally ask for any amount over original MSRP.

If someone pays over MSRP it's their prerogative. This is not an essential commodity so pricing above MSRP shouldn't be regulated or legislated against in my opinion. It's a nice profit for the company and salesperson and the extra monies spent are usually mere pocket change for that type of buyer.

I paid invoice.. Plus the dealer's $250 paperwork fee (which is crap.. but everyone charges them now).
I also got the accessory package with the auto-dim mirror, wheels locks, fender metal stripe and deck lid protector at invoice. I got 2.25% for 60 months Sales tax was 6%. |

Journeyed from Orlando, FL to Union, NJ for mine (abandoned preorder that was the same color, transmission, trim level, and included the auto-dimming rearview mirror I had preordered in FL). Paid MSRP, and was offered 2.84% for 60 and 3.03% for 72 months through the dealership (oddly, my credit union was less impressed with my credit score).
