Stromung universal muffler?

I was just wondering if Stromung makes a universal muffler? My friend has a stromung on his 2.5 rs and i like the sound and the dual tip look. Reason i need a universal is because I wanted to put it on my 240sx. Could i just buy an impreza muffler and get a muffler shop to custom fit it? I know this isnt an Impreza question, but who else knows about stromung more than i-club?

In my experience with "universal" mufflers, you usually get less than what you paid for in relation to a muffler manufactured for a specific vehicle. Cat-back muffler tuning for vehicles is exact science, and when it's done right, you'll get power and burble gains without any drawbacks. For example, a friend tried a HKS cat-back on his Legacy B4, one which was a universal unit. It was dirt cheap, and it also gave good power gains - from about 5500rpm on. Underneath that, it had *less* power than stock. A Fujitsubo muffler manufactured specifically for his car cost about $200 more - but it made 40 more hp at 3000rpm, and made about 20 more hp above 5500rpm. Power everywhere. Sounded great, too.

Besides - the Stromung exhaust is not the only reason for the good sound - it's a flat four burble that you are hearing also, which is a characteristic of that particular motor. The inline 4 in the 240sx would not sound the same, even with exactly the same exhaust system.

I know that the exhaust on a flat four sounds different, but i have also heard a stromung catback on a sentra se-r spec v. Sounds good on that inline 4 as well. They make stromung for the 200sx and for spec v, but not for 240sx...sucks.
