This! But then said friend buys subaru and tells you about all the diff, transfer case and clutch killing activties he enjoys show boating to civics and cobalts.

And then you just laugh when one, or all of those parts, gets burned out and needs replacing a couple months after he buys it.

You know you drive an AUTOMATIC wrx when your friend, whos dream is (and can't stop talking about) a slammed and cambered BMW (we all have one) finds out you have a wrx and bugs you about wanting to drive it. You simply have to respond with, "no you don't...trust me." He asks why and you embarrassingly say that its an automatic, and says "oh, nevermind" and talks about BMWs and how awesome they are. Derp.

Got a indian looking fellow around me with a chameleon green/gold hawk eye imprezza, sti badged, winged and scooped. But its automatic has tiny brakes and sounds like a civic. Pretty awesome if you ask me. When he sees me in my legacy gt wagon he always wants a race, in my sti he always backs off. One day ill flex the legacy for him so he leaves me be lol.

In the winter you can't wait for it to warm up because the cold makes the car drive like crap. In the summer you can't wait for it to cool off because the heat makes the car drive like crap.

Spring and Fall.....livin' the dream.

This! I was in getting an oil change the other day and the VW half of the dealer had a Golf R so I went and sat in it. The sales guy comes over "Beautiful car!" with that ***** eating grin like he's gonna get me to take it home (wouldn't be the first time, bought my FX45 while my G35 was in for an oil change).

Anyway, I tell him "eh, i'm just getting my oil changed". "What kind of car?" "STi." Doesn't say a word, just turns and walks away.

When your 07 with only 34k miles that you baby randomly has a piston failure (according to the dealership) that destroys your engine, requiring a new turbo and full short block...message from God to get a built block??

Definitely considering it. Not sure how safe I feel with the OEM shortblock if parts randomly failed after so little miles without explanation. I don't want to do a full build though. I was thinking of possibly getting a built Cosworth shortblock with same compression ratio as stock then just getting another stock turbo so I don't have to mess around with bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, better intake, etc. That way I wouldn't have to mess around with a tune either if I'm not mistaken.
