I was thinking of possibly getting a built Cosworth shortblock with same compression ratio as stock then just getting another stock turbo so I don't have to mess around with bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, better intake, etc. That way I wouldn't have to mess around with a tune either if I'm not mistaken.
I like your thinking!

118k.. a year and a half later 142k stage 2 with the infamous "glass" transmission and original timing belt still taking a beating. You gotta drive it!!

... if taking a co worker for a ride convinces them that nothing in the parking lot (of a couple hundred cars) could "take that curve at 60 mph like Jeff's wagon!!".. you might own a wrx/sti :-)

I definitely drive it. I'm not always easy on it, but I also don't try to kill it. I enjoy spirited driving at least once a week, and I'm not afraid to do a little 2-3 gear pull every now and again. I wouldn't say that I don't unleash its capability from time to time, but again, I was trying to be fairly conservative with it for fear of something like this happening. Haha guess it was just meant to happen.

Yea that's the only reason I came up with. It just seems odd to me that the car drove PERFECTLY without any issue for 10000 miles, then suddenly this happens. Dealership can't even offer an explanation as to why it might have happened. Very confusing

When you wave to another guy in a WRX/STi, and they don't wave back... and it bugs you. What's up with him? Does he not notice other WRX'z?

To the other subi girls! :

when you drive by and 90% of guys check out your car instead of you...
and to the other 10% you are like what's wrong with you?

when you dump a guy because he dares to say "babe, how is your car different than my chevy malibu, looks the same to me"

When there is that ONE, dumb*** who has to ruin your commute to try and race you, and fails miserbly...most people i pass then pass me and try to cut me off, brake check and drive slow for no reason, so i put some distance between me and them.

When you sometimes actually look forward to your commute...

When you thought your wallet hurt when you owned a Ducati, no now im more broke.

When you wake up for your Monday morning commute, see that it has snowed, and leave early so you can take the long way.

when you take a buddy for a ride in a mildly modded LGT then 2 months later a stock STi and a month later he trades in his 2013 legacy for an 08 WRX. Subies FTW!

For the few times you get around to doing your hair and leave it down, and you pass someone, or turn at a light (or you're waiting first at a light and people are turning left in front of you to go the opposite way), and they give you the look of, "a girl??? In a sports car???"

^my trip to school today.

You know you drive an AUTOMATIC wrx when your friend, whos dream is (and can't stop talking about) a slammed and cambered BMW (we all have one) finds out you have a wrx and bugs you about wanting to drive it. You simply have to respond with, "no you don't...trust me." He asks why and you embarrassingly say that its an automatic, and says "oh, nevermind" and talks about BMWs and how awesome they are. Derp.
what is wrong with a 4EAT wrx? i'm getting a vf52 turbo put in mine and it rocks right now at "stage 2". Super quick and still kicks butt. plus no boost is lost between shifts. always great.

Nothing is. I love mine. Other people get so discouraged when they find out its an auto. Personally I want a 5 speed, but that'll be my next car.

when your local Subie dealer sends you letters every other month saying there is a high demand for your clean and well maintained WRX and they'd love to help you trade it in...and you laugh and throw out the paper

It's sloppy, slow, and makes less power.
