Yeah.. I agree. I used to own a stage 2 05 STi and now own a stage 2 WRX. I miss the STI's power, but the five speed is much less annoying for DD purposes. It's all a trade off in the end, and arguments can go both ways about benefits of owning the WRX or STi.

agreed. However, I will second the Agile Auto issues. They are a horrible shop. I took my car to CBRD after a mis-diagnosis and Chad helped me out tremendously. Great shop and great staff.

This, I agree with.

I've wanted an STI since I was 15 years old. 6 years later I had the loot to go buy one and I went out and bought an 07 with 29k miles. Put down 17 and financed 5.

I'm happy as hell and I love my car. The difference between most is that mommy and daddy paid for their cars.

It's not fair to capture "all" the young people in stereotypes. Some of us young guns have works for what we have.

I drive spiritedly, sometimes to an excess, but I always appreciate the community, always throw the dueces and often don't get then back (bros with rich moms) and I'm probably semi young within this crowd (21). Definitely saw a change in te community at subiefest. "Bro I'll ****in ramp my car lets go do AutoX bro"
Well...nice 2012:..you have no suspension or anything else on it have fun blowing off your precious fenders lol

Oh and kids revving like its a civic meet and thinking there exhaust note is solid because the can on the back of their car is bigger than a trader joes coffee cylinder.
The judge literally said, don't rev your engine until it is your turn...that worked out.

It's a bummer about the stereotypes on the young crowd but...it speaks for itself often

When every time the double yellow turns to a passing zone you estimate how many cars you could pass before it ends

at a stoplight, you give a hard stare to the driver in the Civic next to you, look down at your full cup of coffee in the center console...then forget all about it and the ensuing hours of clean up as soon as the light turns green.

When you're eating lunch and plan your table where you can see your car from the window, and the whole time you just stare and think about how good your new (insert) looks on it.

Today's it's my wheels.

I think the blobeyes were the best looking years. I know you're talking about a built WRX, but every time I see a 04/05 WRB STI I get quite jelly...

When you can sell your car after two years and 55k miles for 2k less than you bought it. And then buy another Subaru.

Thank you so much for this. I dont usually read whole bash threads but that one was too good.

and dub, you referred to a tuner as a hippie. Motorsports, catless exhausts, abuse of fuel and resources for simple enjoyment? Yeah. Thats the fking hippie ethos. right out of the rainbow family field manual gtfo

anyone know why wrx and sti's in general don't depreciate in value as fast as other performance cars? I heard it's hard to sell your used vehicle because for the price of a used one of say 2-3 years, you can drop 1-2 grand extra and buy a new one!

Please explain. If it is too much trouble to make an extra shift, you can always go from 4 to 6 with no problem.
