Exclamation Please help: engine won't turn over...

I just got a bunch of LEDs (tails-brake, license plate, front corner-parking, & dome light) from superbrightleds.com and now I can't get the engine to turn over.

After finding out that if the bulbs are installed backwards -> leads to a blown fuse, I replaced all of the blown fuses.

Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know what else I can check? Or am I stuck with going to a dealer/repair place?

Thank you. Yes. I have a brand new battery, purchased & installed by a Subaru dealer. I had the volts checked. Everything else works, its just that the engine doesn't turn over.

Now old is your battery?

It could be an old school problem.

If you were poping fuses there is a good chance that the other screw ups drained the battery.

Edit: Amazing what 6 minutes can say.

Thanks! The battery is at least 1 year old. I have never had any battery problems before. My first battery lasted 7 years & 82,000 miles.

try a hard reboot of the BIU computer: unhook the negative battery terminal for at least 60 seconds

When you blow fuses, sometimes the main fuse on the ECU gets blown. Check the location where the ECU is to see if the fuse on it is blown... that'll prevent the car from starting.

@burkart: I tried disconnecting the battery & I still have the same problem. Thanks for your suggestion!

@EVL RS-T: not sure if I have access or know where the main ECU relay/fuse is.

Bottom line, I'm going to the dealer to see if they can find out what happened. Ugh - please be careful when changing to LEDs!!! The bulbs are polarized & when installed backwards, many things can happen.
