Post What is a transmission "ELP"?

Some guy was talking about getting an ELP to improve the performance of my automatic transmission...

what the heck do those letters stand for?

Electronic L..... P.......?

Help me out!

hmm. I did a search for ELP and most of what I found was either turntables or Emerson Lake & Palmer.

But I found some automotive stuff where ELP was a manufacturer of various goods.
To me it sounds as if your friend was referring to the "shift kit" that is popular with American vehicles.

I searched, too, but did not find the company ELP. Did you find a web site? Can you tell me where some of their stuff is? I think you are on the right track.

Whats sadder is that I actually held my tongue and tried to say Elf, yup, it sounded like Elp.
