Ditto. Lol i have already made the purchase. And its gonna be siiick! But yes my stupid route of modding has landed my nothing but happiness as well as this purchase. Your caring thoughts( venting cause you blew your motor) is silliness. I will have a very strong reliable build. But thank you for your negative concern.

ok, look, the long and short of this is there are reasons why there is concern.

a rev limited is a safety precaution, hitting your rev limiter is not a bad thing. its a LIMITER. which means it's not supposed to let the car get into unsafe areas.

every time i went to autocross under my previous tune i drove away with a CEL and a misfire. couldn't never explain it. really made me nervous about pushing my car.

under my current tune i drive the living **** outta my car, never once had a misfire, problem, CEL or anything. and i bounced off my rev limiter at subiefest, especially in 1st gear, and my car hits hard in first gear and bounced off the rev limiter. no issues.

theres a huge difference between what i was running and what i am running as far as safety goes. i've had enough motors built and cars tuned to know whats safe and what isn't safe. i never should have let my tune stand as it was. but i did, it was a mistake. it's bad when your second tuner comes in and says holy crap i'm stunned your motor is still in one piece.

obviously i made more power on less boost, but the drivability is a TON better, which is the main thing. no glitchyness, no roughness, no jerkiness, tip in throttle is smooth and not jagged and rough. the boost is on instantly and pulls to redline.

so do i think that the tuner may have been what caused the problems with alex's car, yea i do. do i have proof.

good luck with your build phil, hope it turns out well for you bro.

everyone is full of piss and vinegar, and has their own thoughts. you're not going to convince me of anything, neither is jon, neither is gully, neither is anyone else. and vice versa. so good luck man.

For the record......you put on a FM. And didnt go tune for your upgrade...once again push blame. But how about taking responsibility for disrupting your ATF ratio...but im talking without education...silly kids

really, but the 5.5psi boost spike that blew my intercooler apart was probably my fault as well. and...i emailed jon multiple times about a remote touch up on my tune and got ignored. go ahead and back whoever you want phil, the truth is out there. make your own decisions.

btw, a FM doesn't make as massive of a difference as everyone would like you to believe. let's be honest with ourselves here. the fact that my car continually boost spiked, starved for fuel, and ran consistently crappy with the top mount on is probably my fault as well. all my ignored emails are probably my fault as well.

honestly, i do have a portion of blame, letting my tune stand as it was. but tuning a car in less than an hour, less than 3 pulls on the dyno, no street time, no driving at a normal driving RPM to find out how the car reacted, that's NOT my fault. let's not even get into the customer service aspect of it, not talking to me about my mods, my driving style, what i wanted out of the car. this is my daily, you think i wanted an aggressive 19.5psi tune? doesn't matter, jon did what he did on his own accord. no discussion with me. sorry but thats not jon's car, thats jon's tune. he can tune his personal car however he wants. but when it comes to customers and their cars, he should talk to them about their needs. which he didn't. never responded to emails etc. i was honestly blown away. you can have as many good experiences you want. as a company and a tuner and motor builder and so called pro in the industry you will ALWAYS be defined by your failures, fair or not, thats the facts of life. people with bad experiences are way more likely to tell their friends about it then with a good experience. and usually that good experience has to be overwhelmingly good.

do what you want phil, like i said, good luck bro. hope it works out for you. we know the truth, you and jon can say what you want, defend it til the end of time. but we ALL know what really has happened in the past. but thats just it, it's the past. think there's a reason everyone else is going elsewhere to get tuned and not running back to jon to have their car tuned. probably is.

good luck bro. hope it works out, i really do. it'd be badass to have a stroked sti. im excited to see the outcome.

i don't need to say anymore actually. im done dealing with it. there are zero remnants of jons tune on my car. my car pulls infinitly harder and so much smoother on 16psi than it ever did on 19.5. there are no issues. im happy with my tune and my car as it is. i hope you find that with your motor build as well, because thats what it's about man. find your happiness, enjoy your stroker.

/end

i like how you act like the victim when you provoke ****.

This originally started from me saying you drive like a turtle. Then you reply back with a broken pedal. Then i tell you to take notes cause you need to. Then you reply back about my blown motor.

You wanna talk mature? lol Stay on the same argument instead of changing the subject to something else.

Lets stick to why your reliable motor now, will have another rebuilt reliable motor. It wont be any difference cause you still drive like a turtle. Not hard enough to test the build/tune of the car

Thanks bud.

A bit of humor about how you cant drive got the best of you my friend. As far as my motor and what had happened. You cant really make me feel bad. Its already been done and i am stressing. Just like any normal human being.

Please quote me where i exactly talked **** about you and you're stroker build? NEVER.

Also, i have always been open to teach you a few things. I may not be the best or quickest driver, but i sure as hell can give you a few tips like we have discussed in the past.

It's not you, it's the fact that Jon is going to build it. Not many people like him.

Had you mentioned you were getting a stroker from a reputable engine builder, no one would have bashed it.
