to be clear. I haven't built a motor for anyone in Socal, not ONE.
SO for anyone to talk **** about how I build a motor is completely irrelevant, because no one here has a motor i have built.

I will be building Phils motor personally. Not anyone else...

not having built a motor is the same as having no reputation. its called having no reputation. thus not being reputable.

Ok we both were having fun at each other....and you know i didnt wish your car problems . Hell i have learned alot from driving around you. Hands down you know how to drive. I would love to schedule another event with you in the future.

OK I'LL REPHRASE FOR THE GUY THAT WANTS TO ARGUE SEMANTICS.

not having built a motor in socal is the same as having no reputation in socal. its called having no reputation in socal. thus not being reputable in socal. where you are posting!

thats ok, a quick nasioc search will bring up a lot about your reputation elsewhere. no sweat.

no its not. continually burn people, provide shoddy tunes, bad customer service, and overall crappy friendship and this is what it'll get you.

what's easier what way? have everything thats ever happened to you car blamed on you, when you know, they know, and everyone knows it wasn't your fault. that sounds totally easy, also sounds like a really great way to make money.

you should do some research on your buddy phil, before you plop down a **** load of money to get a motor built.

i am siding with derrick on this one. fact of the matter is, there is no reputation with jesus. even tuning cars, a lot of us got very little to no response when issues came up with tunes, MYSELF included. Certainly, Jon has helped me with things and i am thankful for when he did take care of me. but at the end of the day, a lot of my issues took months to resolve, which is unacceptable. hence why my car never really made it out to the track the last couple years. as derrick mention earlier, its NO FUN racing your car when there are constantly issues with tune related things...

this isnt JUST me this was happening to, this happened to several people. not even in this thread alone, people outside of the forum as well. this domino effect of disloyalty **** is just you sucking on his nuts because you think he will take care of you Phil.

with no shop, no reputation for building motors, and ignoring 'friends' with tune issues, WHAT DO YOU THINK will happen when a motor build issue comes up? arent you maybe even slightly concerned that maybe you will have a problem and there will be no backing to resolve it and get you back on the road? this is why many people stopped dealing with jon altogether and why many friendships were broken. friends dont ignore friends.

its ****ing ridiculous reading all the **** going on the past few days and this is exactly why you people never see me at the meet anymore. hope things work out well, but when i have **** built, its nice to have support when issues arise. i have had NOT ONE issue with my build/tune, just like derricks new tune, just like garlins new tune, etc. we all went to different tuners, so its obvious what the problem was. ****

whats the common denominator in all this? EVERY SHOP JON HAS RUN HAS MADE MISTAKES

nothing wrong with that? thats amazing.

i wonder how many blown motors or people coming back for retunes COBB has had since jon vs when jon was there. i would imagine the number now is 0.

really, where are you getting your info? because i think you're mistaken dude. regardless man.

it doesn't matter. the point is. you're going to do what you want.

the information about jon is out there, i hope you get what you want out of it man.

so good luck.

i'm surprised jon hasn't posted in here attempting to dispute everything and pointing fingers at everyone else. clearly it's everyone elses fault.

you may not be as goofy as you appear phil, because hopefully this thread will ensure your build gets done right, since jon definitely has something to prove, to future customers. he has a lot of making up to do. hopefully he definitely does your built perfectly man. i think a stroker is badass, just hope your builder takes it as seriously and as cautiously as he should.

This. and this.

to you phil, it may appear everyone is hating on you. fact of the matter is these people are all shedding light based on experiences. although, it doesnt seem like it, they are looking out for you. it sucks throwing 10k+ out of your window, wouldnt you agree? no one likes to see it happen.

but as newmeat said, do as you wish. more power to you if things go well (and we are hoping they do) just understand facts are facts. the past doesn't change. at the end of the day, its YOUR debt if **** goes wrong, not Jon's.

Maybe because you always say you're broke, yet you keep modifying your car.

Pay the car off first, then spend your money on aftermarket parts.

I went down to the bank and paid my car off, $13K check. Could have easily put that into my car, but having no car payment is the best feeling in the world.
