I haven't thrown away any money. But ask a financial manager, he may say different. Lol. Its my enjoyment that is all. On the reals,,, my car is going to runs just fine my man! I have faith.

this isnt JUST me this was happening to, this happened to several people. not even in this thread alone, people outside of the forum as well. this domino effect of disloyalty **** is just you sucking on his nuts because you think he will take care of you Phil.

with no shop, no reputation for building motors, and ignoring 'friends' with tune issues, WHAT DO YOU THINK will happen when a motor build issue comes up? arent you maybe even slightly concerned that maybe you will have a problem and there will be no backing to resolve it and get you back on the road? this is why many people stopped dealing with jon altogether and why many friendships were broken. friends dont ignore friends.

its ****ing ridiculous reading all the **** going on the past few days and this is exactly why you people never see me at the meet anymore. hope things work out well, but when i have **** built, its nice to have support when issues arise. i have had NOT ONE issue with my build/tune, just like derricks new tune, just like garlins new tune, etc. we all went to different tuners, so its obvious what the problem was. ****
My new tune sucks the donkey balls, but that's because church didn't tune it, his new guy did ill get back over there in a few weeks though when the temps are really low for a re tune and make him actually turn up the boost a pump for more fuel = more power, maybe 30psi?!?!?

i think you missed the point. you cant throw money away if the work hasnt been performed yet.

im saying, you dump 10-15k into a motor, you'd expect it to last...... only time will tell, if you encounter problems early on without any support from the builder/vendor/shop you decide to go with, that would be throwing money out the window.

hobbs might hate me for saying this (and thats fine since he doesnt return any of my calls anymore) but he has thrown more money away than any of us. ...............his car is the meaning of a 'money pit'

So is my car. I'm not buying expensive parts, or paying lots of money for work to be performed anymore unless it's by a shop with a good reputation, or a part that has a proven history.

On a side note (you can flame me if you want) my last road tune by jon was a very good one. Unfortunately it was a road tune and not a dyno tune because the Thursday dyno tune turned into a Friday then into a Saturday then into a road tune because he wasn't able to get me on the dyno like I asked resulting in some late night freeway pulls. Still, it was a good tune that made great power and the driveability was fine.

I'm sure with all this attention Jon will be building Phil's engine with lots of care and quality so no one can be like "I told you so"

+1. I'd rather be paid off than heavily-modified and have the bank still own my ass.

Attempting to pay off my car next month by depleting my savings and using the extra money from working this month.

Ahhh no more car payment will be great!

I went down to the bank and paid my car off, $13K check. Could have easily put that into my car, but having no car payment is the best feeling in the world.
Does this mean that Garlin is going to do an engine build, roared turbo, full suspension and build a 500+whp car?!

All this back and forth in the thread, I love it. It's like tuning into the Maury show.
