first mod i did of course was a kartboy short shifter, bushings, and COBB knob

after that i needed more sound, so i got an Invidia Q300 catback

then two appearance/comfort mods
Tail Light Overlays

JPM center console lid w/ extra padding

then i wanted a bit more OOMPH, went with a wrinkle red AEM CAI

picked up a COBB AP at S3, installed a catless downpipe and flashed to STGII+ off the shelf map, absolutely loved the car. it was awesome. but i felt it fell on it's face around 5600+ RPM. so on came more mods...

catless downpipe (love the sound, so great)

up-pipe (this was a fun install)

grimmspeed wrinkle red heat shield to match AEM CAI

then, i wanted to get some suspension mods to make the car handle as well as it looked and performed. got some ISC N1 coilovers, second hand, with very few miles

here's an after shot

then it was time for some braking mods so i got some DBA 4000XS rotors, SS lines, stoptech ST1 pads, GS master cylinder brace

then some nice pretty Prodrive under the hood stuff

needed some monitoring stuff, so i got the SMY cluster with some prosport gauges

went to cobb and got a protune. made 302whp and 327wtq

pretty happy with the numbers, i was on the way to an autox the following week, dense air in the morning and 19.5psi and a boost spike caused my intercooler to blow at the seems.

awesome :-/

so i did what i could, luckily a buddy brought me a stocker OEM IC to drive on for a while, i got a racerX front mount.

not my first choice, but it is pretty good. i will definitely be redoing the hot side piping.

then there was a guy that was looking to trade his Kwoya Evolves in 18x9 for something less agressive, so i traded my stock wheels straight across.

i liked them, but i wasnt in love with them. i definitely kept my eyes open for something else. finally got it.
OEM STi BBS in 18x8.5 redrilled to 5x100

i think i've definitely found my wheel. i dont feel the need for wider, they are awesome! i love them. i will definitely have to space them out a bit to fill the wheel wells.

obviously there are quite a few more mods, but i haven't listen them because i have just forgotten. i will get more pictures sooner or later.

like driving a diesel thats about to blow up. it wouldn't idle.

the best way to describe it, it felt like the car was choking itself.

Looks nice. Very subtle. Any close up's of the re-drill? Did they just slot the holes?

i can get some close ups.

it's interesting how they did it. i had others done before. these are slotted, but a special insert is pressed in. they actually look pretty good.

I really wanted to do that as well with OEM STi rims but was scared due to the BBS's being forged. I've always heard mixed things on re-drilling rims. Do you feel any wobbles or anything with the wheels or are they perfect? Even at speed 80mph+?

Please do some close ups!

no wobble at all. this is my second set of redrilled wheels. i had other BBS' redrilled on another car. its perfectly safe, have a good reputable shop do it.

don't let me guide you wrong. it was raining, we were furious, we had busted knuckles from doing other jobs. it wasn't easy for us. we were very frustrated. but it did go in, did go in pretty snugly. fits good. but it is a tricky, watch their video, understand what they did. then tackle it. its just a bolt on, anyone with the correct tools can do it.
