Default Build: The ECS Performance RallyCross WRX

About a year ago a long time customer and friend of ours named Robert Champion approached us about jumping into a fairly new style of racing in the US called RallyCross. If you don't know him, he runs SubieEvents (Subiefest, WBM, etc) and DRT Components. If you haven't heard of RallyCross, think X Games Rally or just picture motocross with cars. Eager to do something with our caged yellow bug eye shell, the opportunity to try a new and exciting style of build was perfect.

Obviously the modification list is a little crazy, as the amount of custom fabrication is in the many hundreds of hours. We've obviously got a bunch left on our plate before it's ready for its first race in July, but like any fresh race car build, we're pretty much always evolving this car, so expect updates as time goes on!

Expect to see this car in action at WBM, Rally America RallyCross events at NJMP, and misc events around the Northeast!

Modification highlights:
2.5L ECS Stage 1 STI Motor w/ 9.0:1 CP Pistons
JDM Ver. 6 STI RA Dccd Drivetrain w/ Exedy Twin Disk Clutch
Garrett GT2871 Turbo (soon to be restricted)
ECS T3 Rotate Turbo Adapter
ECS DBW Pedal Adapter
Tail 44mm EWG
Grimmspeed EBCS
Standard Suspension ENR55's
ATL Fuel Cell + A1000 Fuel Pump

DCCD Pro - Controller kit
Painless Switch Panel
Tial Bov
Whiteline everything
DRT Components Mud Flaps / Skid Plate
EMS TBD

So here you have it, the ECS Performance RallyCross WRX:

Fortunately when there is danger in the manifold these floor pans will not explode outward.
