Alright, question I've had for a while.

How does the air set up compare to the stock suspension? Looser?

People always talk down on bagging a car such as a WRX or STi because you sacrifice some handling capabilities, is that true? Or were they just bag haters and static lovers?

Not to mention the 30-way dampening adjustment, coilover bodies, and the fact that you can go up and down with the flick of a switch.

I'm loving the suspension more and more every time I get into the car. No joke! I will say that if you've never been in a lowered or slammed car on coils you wouldn't be able to appreciate how nice of a ride this truly is! However, you can make the ride like a marshmallow if you so choose. Handling over stock is much improved! I can take on and off ramps and the twisties like a champ. We'll see how she does on the track this Wednesday.

That's all the way down up front with 27psi in the rear. I'm hung up on the front by the wheel wells and would require tubbing and a notch to go lower. The rear will hit the exhaust on the ground before any modification needed. I'll get ride height pics soon

It'll be awhile. The wife and I are traveling back to Australia next year. Need to save some pennies. I'd love to see them on you camaro! They are great looking wheels IMO

I posted in the Hatchback thread but found your thread here. I absolutely love your car man! I would love a more in-depth review about the air-ride setup (ride quality, etc).

Cor, the only thing she needs is a bbk with a contrast color. a light blue or alloy blue would look disgusting. maybe even a blue with a teal shade to it.

Thanks!

Well, comparing the ride quality to stock is a huge improvement. The car feels like a gokart and is very responsive in the twisties. The stock handling was like a marshmallow and now with the damping adjustments I can ride hard or soft depending on my mood. The kit comes with built in camber plates too. Daily I drive the car with settings as harsh as coilovers the main difference is there is much less bounce or drama when going over bumps or hitting potholes. The initial impact takes place with little to no aftershock following. Ive driven several lowered cars on coilovers and none can compare to how great this car feels for a lowered ride.

Can you pm me what you paid for the setup? I'm very curious.

@gregonfire, the kit on Corey's GR is a prototype kit.

At the moment, there are no confirmed prices on the kit as AirLift is still crunching the numbers. We're expecting to have a group buy up and running by the end of the week!

Anytime Greg! I'll have more to follow up as I continue to drive the car. I've already put 1000 miles on her since she's been back in my possession. Still loving everything though!

I am in love with your setup! Nicely done, so clean, beautiful! A few questions though. What other suspension mods did you have to do to make your wider/more aggressive offset wheels to fit properly. Control arms, lateral arms, camber bolts, etc. etc.? Also, can you post a pic of your trunk (where ever your tank(s) compressor(s) are setup). So interested in air ride! Such an amazing type of suspension!

He's done nothing as far as control arms, lateral arms, etc. We're going to be working with Corey on a few of those aforementioned pieces in the coming months.

However, everything you see is stock with the exception of air ride.
