Default Has this question been asked? Visors + Bike rack, possible?

Ive been looking into purchasing a yakima bike rack from a friend, but noticed it hooks onto the same spot the jdm visors run on. So my question, is it possible to install a bike rack on a sti that already has jdm window visors?

Yes, using the alternative landing pad mounting solution. If you look around you'll find it.

I asked in the bike rack thread and was told to search, but when I searched, all I could find was outdated threads that were based off pictures with broken links.
From what I understand there is some sort of UK version that has risers.

JDM Rain Visors w/ Roof Rack:

Drilled and tapped into existing roof brackets, using Thule TK1 Fit Kit.

Can you just pop those off without leaving holes or anything like you can with regular Thule feet?
(Sorry if I quoted the picture, can't remove it with the iPhone app.)

The feet stay attached to the car, and you can put a cap over it.

Installing the rack is as simple as removing the cap and snapping in the rack and locking it. Removal is unlocking it, pushing in the lock buttons, and lifting the rack away.

If you really wanted to, you could remove the feet also, its a single M6 bolt. However, you risk damaging the brackets on the roof with repeated installation/removal since its fairly thin metal that's being tapped.

HUGE + to this method is the rack does not touch the paint, at all, period.

I like those, I really want roof rail deletes, and like the look, but still want the function of being able to add something to the roof.
