The Original Post has been updated to reflect plans for the spring restart. Let me know if there are any mess ups I may have missed.

Do y'all have a pretty large Subaru population down there? Dropping the gf off at the airport and visiting her grandmother in Dundalk, I saw 4 STIs. I see maybe one every other week or so other than my own.

I wouldn't say they're large around here in glen burnie. They're out here, yes. Seems there's a larger population in and much closer to the city.

Idk man I think id have to disagree. The waugh chapel mert regularly has 15 + subie guys there in the warm season. When we started we were about the same and should be this year if we stay consistent.

Its only a few miles south and it isnt closer to the city though. Id say the baltimore, annapolis, columbia triangle has quite a large subie fanbase compared to many of the other places ive lived.

Second off I thin kbim going to make a separate general conversation for baltimore area subie owners thread so we can start sticking to the meet on this one when we get to that point. Opinions???

lol no they don't. but we seem to use this one like it is one. So I was thinking it might be a good idea to set up a Baltimore General discussion thread.

So after todays events im rethinking swapping the wagon and may buy a 01 rs that already been swapped instead. Has 70k on the motor and 30k on the tranny. Swap was done by ecs. Interior is all sti. Asking 8500. Body has a slight bubble in quarterpanel. Thoughts?

You need to accept right away that you're buying somebody else's headache.

That said, do you have a link to the car so we can check it out?

Anything used is someone's headache in one way or another. It would be cool to have a swapped GC8, so long as its done correctly. Like Ross said, put up a link.

I had been thinking about the swap for a while. My wagon has about 200k on it and its got a blown headgasket. Thr center diff has something wrong with it as well. Plus yesterday it ejected its number four spark plug while cruising down Crain highway. so I had to change my plugs and wires on the side of the road. Plus the speakers are going out etc etc. So after doing some cost benefit analysis lol, ive seen that the rs thats already swapped would be a better option. Plus its lighter and the only body style I like more than the bugeye
