Should have gotten video of the 10.8 run. That probably had a good time due to all the grip.

I added the Invidia equal length header to my car and the 50-100mph time for a 3rd gear pull went from 4.6-4.7 seconds with the stock header, down to about 4.3 seconds with the EL header. This is due to the turbo spooling up sooner and being in a stronger part of the powerband by the time it reaches 50mph. With the new header is it usually at or close to 20psi by 50mph and with the stock header it is usually only 12-13psi.

Invidia Equal Length Header (~4.3 seconds):

Stock Header (4.6-4.7 seconds):

If you're worried about it, just switch to E85 and leave it at 28psi. It'll be well worth it. From what I've picked up on here, it seems the 35R doesn't really come alive until after 25psi anyway. The difference between 25psi and 30psi with the 35R was over 50hp on virtual dyno for me. Granted it's not a chasis dyno, but there is no denying the seat of the pants difference.
you don't think is because of the weather?

nope, because both Fuji & I were in the car with Juks when tuning.
We started the first pull with 25psi, then switched it up right after and BAM

same weather that night LOL

The cool weather on the 35 has been awesome

But like Nuke said, the first day we tuned the 35 it was 80 degrees plus. We started at 25 and then went up to 28 and then 30. The seat of the pants difference was significant, with the biggest jump being from 25 to 28. There were gains from 28 to 30 but not as much.

Lovin this turbo btw

sorry guys I meant to quote Xluben's post...

From 4.6-4.7 seconds to 4.3 seconds is really significant just by swapping the stock headers

The temps were probably only about 10 degrees different between the two. This is comparing 3rd gear pulls, so the powerband is a big part of it. The big difference is at the very beginning. It's probably 0.2-0.3 seconds difference just between 50-60mph. The stock headers are still building boost during that period so it's quite slow.

Just goes to show you how much power a header can actually add once you have the right amount of power. I lost the boxer rumble but I actually love the way the my perrin sounds. That thing flies dude. I wish I could pull 50-100 in just 3rd

I really like the way mine sounds too. The peak power went up a bit but not a huge difference. The faster spool is really what helped the 50-100mph time so much. Here's the plot.

The translates into a much broader powerband. The low/mid range torque is a huge difference. Between 3,200rpm's and 4,200rpm's it has 50 to 70 ft-lbs of torque more than the stock header! Past peak torque the difference is around 20 ft-lbs and that holds until redline.

Yeah mine did the same thing down low. I picked up like 5-10 more up top but gained 7psi of spool and like 50ft/lbs down low. The 3000-4900 area has a nice fat band of power increase. Your graph really shows the difference plain and clear. I wish I would have data logged and airboyd every step of the way like u did.

My AP is giving me some really funky datalogs. I did a pull tonight and the speed doesn't match up with the boost, or time or anything. Is there a good way to log this? because according to my log I'm only getting to ~92mph and the speedo is around 105??

Thanks in advance

Try using a GPS to check your speedo for starters.

Ill do that, but I know on my dyno graph the car was at 101mph at 7000rpm 4 th gear.

Also the drive by radar things on the side of the road to tell you to slow down are always within 2-3mph of my speedo.

Well I just set my data log to a minimal list and the car reads 2-3 mph lower than my actual speedo, so ill try another run soon and hope the AP reads accurately. I'm pretty sure I don't hover around 92mph for over a second while doing the 50-100 pull haha
