You have more mods and better driving, which is quite an accomplishment to do on pump gas! My was also trapping around 110-112mph and made 340WHP on the dyno, so the 50-100mph metric does seem to correlate fairly well to trap and dyno numbers. I think you trapped higher recently, do you have any new 50-100mph video?
Thanks! My car just recently took the "stage 2" mph record on 93, trapped 114.7 in the 1/4 mile. It was less then 40 degrees out and I had removed some weight. Considering I had a 210lb passenger and trunk full of luggage when i recorded that video and the car was also full weight, i think i can shave a couple tenths off that time.

I'll be back !

Decided to try a 50-100 pull real quick on my way home yesterday but im going to do it again in a couple days when I can mount my phone to the wheel. Didn't feel very confident at those speeds with one hand and didn't do a great job shifting. Certain I can do better!

4th-5th pull(Will do a 3rd and 4th next time to see the difference)

Vehicle: 2006 sti
Weight: stock
Mods:
Spt intake
Invidia divorced wastgate dp
Sr*s exhaust
cobb ots stage 2-93 octane

50-100MPH: Around 7.5-8 sec(Maybe someone can give me exact time)
NOTE: Also may want to do 51/52-101/102mph. Looks like I may have started my pull a little after 50mph.

50-100mph Time: 4.52 seconds

^Your shifts are right at 100mph so it's hard to get a good time. You are probably a tenth or two quicker than this if the gearing matched up.

50-100mph Time: 4.3 seconds

^If only everyone had a VBOX! It would save me hours of stepping through low res cell phone videos!

50-100mph Time: 4.48 seconds

^This one is also hard to get a good time for because you brake boosted slightly over 50mph. Your car is obviously much faster than that 50-100mph time indicates. Maybe roll into it at 30 or 40mph and it will be somewhat spooled as it goes through 50mph?

50-100mph Time: 4.33 seconds

50-100mph Time: 6.99 seconds

^Didn't start at 50mph to it's hard to get an accurate time. Probably could be slightly quicker than what's listed above if you post a valid run.

50-100mph Time: 5.38 seconds 20psi
50-100mph Time: 4.91 seconds 24psi
50-100mph Time: 4.37 seconds 27psi

50-100mph Time: 7.83 seconds

^Hard to tell exactly because you didn't quite hit 100mph on the speedo.

50-100mph Time: 8.27 seconds

^Good baseline run. Nothing wrong with that time for the mods you have. What did Akuma's dyno say you made?
Damn, I didn't think me being 50 WHP down from lowering the boost would make that much of a difference!

Yeah, it should be able to do a little better time with the lower weight and temps.

Great. Good to have a reference point for the Stage 2 cars out there.

I'll take a look at this when I get a chance. Not being quite at 50mph makes it hard to compare though.

In my testing I found that each pound of boost lost about 15HP and 1/10th of a second off the 50-100mph time.

It's very well possible, your car is fast as hell man. Let's just hope that dom5 doesn't start huffing when you start raising the boost I think with e85 and the new intake manifold another and 100-125whp I should be able to hit 3.5s

Didn't you hit around 3.8 or 3.9? From xlubens testing it seems every 15whp is good for 1/10 second off ur time. If that's the case about 75whp should have u at or below 3.5...

In my testing every 40WHP increase gave me 1/2 second. I think I did my math wrong before. That's 80WHP per second or 8WHP for 1/10 sec. That seems a little optimistic, but that's what I saw. Also consider that's within a limited range and also only using 1 gear. Peak power doesn't necessarily correlate to the powerband you have. Simple math says:

Code:
WHP 50-100
300 7.0
350 6.4
400 5.8
450 5.1
500 4.5
550 3.9
600 3.3
650 2.6
Overall it seems like it could be ballpark correct, but not perfect. I'm sure the linear relationship will not hold up with higher power (or possibly lower power). I will try to do a better correlation sometime. If more people had power numbers it would be a little easier..

Yeah. Like I said, I'm still on pump gas and 24psi. Going to put E85 in and turn it up to 30 or so and do a few pulls. My tuner Visconti trapped 134mph with this setup at 26psi on e85 and his car is full weight..mine is much lighter.

Jesus man u have a lot left in that thing. Not even with the e85 just off the extra 6lbs of boost you'll see 60-80 more whp. That cars already a beast... I need a bigger turbo. Lol

Here is a link to my baseline post with my setup:

7.83s vf39 16psi

I upped the boost to 18psi until 5500rpm tapering to around 16.5psi at 6500rpm...everything else is the same.

2-3-4, power shifting.

Frame by Frame in iMovie says 6.9 to 7.0 seconds. I'll wait for the official report.

Overall I am really happy with the way this car is performing.

I think it has a lot left on the table, but we'll see. Still on the stock WRX catback and TMIC...even has the stock plastic intercooler y-pipe.

I'm cheap.

Thanks for all your work in this thread, it's a good one. It's great to be able to correlate a change in the tune to a change in performance. Then you know you're doing something right.

I'll be hitting the track next year as well, we'll see how it does there.

Hoping for low 12's, wishing for high 11's.

I don't know much about the new Viper, but the ZR1 should be faster than 11.4s in the 1/4. Bad driver/track/tires. I've seen it pull 10.6 easy on stock tires, and 10.1 on sticky tires.

ET varies a lot with launch. Trap and 50-100mph are less affected.

I don't trust GPS data on anything that accelerates this quickly and I don't trust logged VSS from driven wheels or the tranny, but that's the only option for most AWD cars. That said...here's the data.

Sub 11 second isn't possible with a zr1 corvette on stock tires... And the stock tires they used were R-compound semi-slick tires with only an 80 tread wear... I would call them sticky....

I think he's referring to this list:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...fast-list.html

With the trap speeds they do, I'm sure it's possible to get into the 10's. Either way, the 50-100mph time is no launch related (although traction could be an issue with the RWD cars).

Here's the baseline for my WRX. Just shifting normally... no powershifting for me.

Vehicle: 2012 Subaru WRX
Motor: Stock
Turbo: Stock
Boost: 16.5
Transmission: Stock 5 Speed

I know it's nothing impressive to you guys, but I'm interested in seeing how much of a difference stage 2 (and so on) will make with my own driving style.
