Default New 06 STI, can it do a aecond gear scratch stock?

Bought an 06 STI about 5 days ago (aside from my CEL issues) it can do a second gear scratch nearly every time, and can roast the tires for about 2 seconds at 4-5k rpm. Is this a sign that it has work to it or are these cars really that fast?! My tires aren't 100% new but they are still pretty good.

The real reason for this post is I'm trying to find out if it has already been tuned or not, I don't know how to tell and I don't want to take it to my local shop and pay $450 if its already been done. And yes I will probably need a clutch in the future haha but I don't drive it like that every day. I just got it I had to see what it could do!
