Yea I saw this on SVTPerformance forum. Most of what he has said goes against the conventional thinking on the S550 right now, especially the claims about the 5.8L S/C and the intro of the Mach1. There's simply no need to release another SE so early in the cycle IMO.

Not everything is speculation. Some people know more then they are letting on. I'm simply saying that the guy claiming to know the 350 will be supercharged and there will be S550's with 5.8's through his machinist (straight from ford) is wrong. There has been a lot of bad info out there, and this is no exception.

Just because no one's linked it yet.

Coming along nicely

Only thing I really want is a grill option to make it more like the fusion with the billet bars.

Let's be honest, almost all of it is speculation. My point is that is ok and should be expected for one of the most secretive projects in recent history. If you want facts, you're researching the wrong car or just wait 6 months.

I agree with you about that SVTP member's speculation. Sounds like bad info to me. I tend to believe guys like that peabody guy on 6G are saying. The latest pics (and some of the older ones) I can see being early prototype designs that have since evolved. We'll find out soon.

If you don't like to read speculation maybe don't visit these S550 sections regarding a yet-UNRELEASED car. What are all 40 pages here if not speculation?

"It's a Jaguar under the camo, not a Mustang" - remember this?

Whether we're talking the SVTP forum or 6G or any other S550 section (including threads like this), it's all speculation since Ford hasn't said a peep. This isn't like the 5th gen Camaro (and Camaro5) where Chevy released a concept 3 years in advance. Ford has been more than stingy with info so there's little else to discuss. Stupid are the men that should know this when visiting these sections and still complain.
Aside from maybe one other person here. And I think he's seen only parts.. I'm probably the only guy posting here that has seen and heard the car.

You are no better coming in here bitchin about speculation then people speculating.

"Bitching about speculation then people speculating." You want to read that back again, chief? Because no comprende.

Ohh yea, you're the "it's a Jaguar not a Mustang" guy. Of course you've seen the car. Every other post here (besides your own of course) is pure speculation. Enlighten us.

I for one never really doubted you. I just wondered why the hell you'd say it was a jag.

Man, really? Be smart... take the picture down. I don't want anyone losing a job trying to prove me wrong.

I never cared to question where you work. The question is whether you know what you are talking about, and I'm afraid your ID doesn't prove that.

Because I was in a jag. Speculator game is pretty fun sometimes. Watching all the guessing.

Yeah. You are right! They let anyone in here.

I think it proves enough...

Of course he's wrong, it's common knowledge that the Trinity(5.8l) won't physically fit into the S550 platform. Popular speculation is that the replacement for the GT500, whatever it ends up being called, will have some sort of FI variant of the Coyote in it. Most likely with forged internals.

They should shoehorn a massaged 6.2 in there.

Raodrunner/coyote with a blower is entirely too much power for the street.

They better seriously step up the tire sizes. 285 tires dont cut it at those power levels.

Some new renders have been posted that are supposed to be based on Ford CAD files. They look good, but the rear end really doesn't look all that amazing to me.

I'm 99% sure these aren't based on CAD files. Looks like a case of a poor description written by someone who doesnt understand how 3d works or how Chazcron extrapolated based on on spy photos. I dont think any real CAD software or files have anything to do with this render. Its a nice model based off limited data. The b-pillar and 1/4 window may be close, the rear hips, greenhouse and tail are all conjecture.

Yeah, I think the CAD description is a bit crap as well.

Huh, I was wrong. Actual CAD files used... but for all we know it could just be a headlight lens, or maybe something big like the door skin or hood. That info wont be disclosed. My comments on overall accuracy stand.

I love the louvered tail lights.

Front end has mazda written all over it. It looks good, but definitely took a page from the new Mazda grill/front end styling.

I sure hope they don't go slab sided again. I hate that look. The coke bottle side was one of the best features of the late S197s.

Our resident insider had this to say:

Not digging the front end from the side angles. Front and rear shots look good. I don't understand people saying "it needs to be bland so they can improve". **** that's bad logic. It costs no more for a manufacturer to make something look good than it does to make it look bad.

Still waiting patiently for the real reveal. If it doesn't "speak" to me then.....then I'll rant some
