Can't wait man.

Just curious, how many of these things have you sold so far? Did you ever think your simple mod would turn into dealing key shells haha.

Hah hah... my bad... not sure why I said PM sent (force of habit?), because I didn't send a PM, I emailed him... my reading comprehension is better than my typing apparently.

Finished mine!

I went out to the car to program it, and it didn't my work! I was super upset until I realized I forgot to replace the module (for my 08 )

But... I replaced the module and it still won't work! Ahh... Hopefully I figure this out soon.

Unfortunately I can't be of much help with the module. I am worried about the blade length though. It looks quite short. Have you tried it in the ignition? Mine is about as long as possible and it's still barely long enough.

Didn't I reply with my email address? I really need to stick to emails to be able to keep track of all this.

What used key did you get, and which keyless module? Did you follow my DIY on 3gWRX? you should have the right match if you did.

My fitting end is like angled because I kept it so long. It works and is plenty long. I knew you had mentioned how short yours was and tried to compensate for it. It still fits great too.
I was actually surprised at how easy the cutting turned out. I just made marks and then used the flat side of my diamond cutting blade to file it down to the mark, checking very frequently for fitment when I got close to the end. I think 90% of the people on here should be able to do it with no problem.

I did follow the 3gWRX
It is the FCC ID CWTWBU766 and the module is

If I understand though, even some with the same FCC ID will be incompatible with each other, which I'm not sure exactly which year both of these parts came from. I'm going to mess more with it tomorrow, but I hope this isn't the case for me.

Sounds good so far. Did you buy the key used? What type of blade did it have?
Regular

or High-Security

The remote unit inside, was the back of it white like this one or black?

When you programmed the remote, did you get the lock/unlock confirmation that the programming was successful?
