AWESOME. Didn't realize the spokes on the +38s were so straight!
I have the same ones on order, so excited.

Did you need spacers to clear the brembos?

Yep you'll need 8mm spacers in the front, if you get the 18x9.5 +38. Might also needed extended lugs and lug nuts. I also have 5mm spacers in the rear, but they're not necessary.

Was excited/surprised to see this pic of my car on NASIOC's Instagram today! If you have Instagram, follow @NASIOC for lots of sweet Subie pics. My personal account is @BrandonDWA.

I installed the new turbo (Blouch Dom 2.5XTR) this weekend, which was more of a task then expected. The 2.5i intake manifold causes the throttle body to sit farther back in the engine bay than stock, which in turn makes the larger turbo's compressor outlet point directly at the TB, so the FMIC piping no longer fit. After trying pretty much everything, the only solution was to rotate the throttle body. In order to do that, we had to remove a decent amount of material from the intake manifold. Dremel + cutoff wheels + metal file.
I also swapped my Cobb intake for a 73mm MAF housing that I had laying around, at the suggestion of my tuner. Grabbed a K&N filter to fit onto that. (My Cobb short ram intake & filter are now for sale).
The final project, for now: re-wired the fuel pump for higher/constant voltage. I can immediately tell that this made a significant difference. My AFR is about 15% richer at idle than before.

With those things accomplished, e-tuning can finally begin! 93oct map first, then E85.

The only pic I took of the turbo install... smoothing out the intake manifold with a file after cutting off a chunk of metal:

And the view from outside the tank of the re-wired fuel pump:

Forgive my newb ignorance, but why are all the cool guys/gals using BPT? Are they really that good, Subaru specific, relationship/discount with NASIOC? I'd never heard of them before this site. Awesome ride by the way!

Great quality turbos with proven power & reliability. Not exactly the cheapest option out there, but (in this case) that speaks to the quality.
And thank you!

Random project last week: replaced the ixiz air-oil separator with a Crawford. The ixiz is now for sale. You can see it in the pics above; it looks like a silver hard drive enclosure.
Also, sold my VF39.
Zapco amps, DW1300 injectors, Cobb intake, and some random stock parts are still available.

Putting this bad boy up for sale. Just got married, about to build a house, starting a new company, and just do not have the time to enjoy it as much as I used to. It's an awesome car that I will truly miss, but I feel like it's time to move on. The odometer is about to hit 90k, so I'm going to replace the head gasket and the timing components to freshen everything up, then it'll be on the market. PM me or reply here with questions/interest.

I may be re-considering selling this, haha. I really do love it and have invested a ton of time, money, and effort into it. Instead of just replacing the head gasket and timing components, I decided to pull the motor and check everything out. Whether I keep it or sell it, I want to make sure that the internals are sound. Potential motor build happening soon. This build thread is about to get pretty active again.
