Cobb Ap Users

Hi all, recently bought an unmarried used AP for my 02 wrx... Im finding it difficult to install to my car, i get the 'cannot communicate with vehicle' message... Then it says check all your connections and try again, which i have done but no chsnge... What i would like do is meet up with someone and borrow their text connecter and obd11 cable to see if my cables are bad or somethin else... Let me know if you can help

Im located near the biltmore, 36th st and camelback

Can you plug it into your computer and communicate with the ap manager?

Yeh can function in every way... Recognizes my car, the computer, it just wont allow me to install a new map

are you plugging in the right plugs? there's like a semi-clear and a blue plug I believe? plus the test connectors of course.

Yeah usually when it can't communicate with the car, its because your green test connectors near your obd2 port aren't connected together

yeh, the 02, ive followed the instructions, but i'll try again and really force the connection tight, thanks guys... i guess last resort is to go upto goodspeed see if they cant figure it out (cobb can only do so much over the phone

Connections plural right like yman mentioned?!? One on the Green connectors, one Blue for terminating/enabling the download ( should have come with the AP you bought ).

Yeh connections, maybe the blue connecter is just bad, maybe ill just buy a new one... Thanks again

To add, i get it into test mode, the check engine light flashes, it recognizes my car, i can check the map, even reset my ecu, but it wont marry or upload a new OTS map from the AP... I think ill take it upto goodspeed see if theyd be nice enough to let me borrow their connecters so i know mine is bad

Yes, spoke with cobb, issue is resolved, the AP are powered by the car battery to a specific
Voltage, the 2002/3 are sensitive to thus and if the voltage is low, the AP and car cannot communicate and will not sync maps... My AP Is NOT the problem, my battery is... Thanks for your inputs
