I'd should be cheap...as I just spent 12k for the car ...then 3k on the parts I installed. ..what I'm looking for is a fun daily. ...as I have the evolution8 as my weekend car ...this is my 3rd wrx. So I'm learning about these cars .

I'm thinking about posting my evolution8 for sale. Then dumping all that money into the wrx I'd have 16k to spend. ..what I'm looking for is the wrx to handle like the evo. ...then I'll be happy lol...

For a cheap and reliable 290 whp/ 290 wtq @ 17 psi (stock STi's run ~217 whp on that dyno) I used on my '07 Hawkeye WRX wagon;

-ID1000's
-Cobb 3 port BCS
-Dom 2.5 XTR 8cm
-APS 70mm Intake
-'12 STi TMIC
-'07 STi TBE (with first cat on DP "removed" with a hammer and screwdriver)
-Shell 91 octane fuel
-protuned using AP.

I have 304hp at the wheels with 328 ftlbs torque in my 06 wrx. Engine mods are cobb cat back, vf48 turbo, walbro fuel pump, sti intercooler, cobb ap,. cosworth air filter, and a dynotune at Brentuning.
I have several other mods but these will get your 07 to where you want without spending too much.

Also would it be better if I removed the snorkel. Since I'm running the short ram intake. I wasn't sure if this gives me more cold air while driving. Or hold more heat while idleing. ..

I'm looking to do something similar to my '07 2.5i wagon.
Will wrx or sti parts work? So far from what I can find, most of the suspension is compatible, but what about the powertrain?

DW300 fuel pump and 850-1000cc injectors w/ a boost controller and a solid tune will get you close with what you currently have. fuel delivery is definitely not the place to overlook if you want to make power.

Simple.

Better handling - first move = dampers.

More power - ECU upgrade like accessport, boost controller, injectors & fuel pump. Pump it up to 22lbs if you have 93 octane in your vicinity.

Done until the excitement wears off and you want more. 1 year.

With just intake and exhaust mods I don't imagine it's too much more than stock, especially without a tune.

Near the bottom left of your TMIC you will notice x3 vacuum hoses connected by a T fitting. If you disconnect the perpendicular hose it works exactly the same as installing a manual boost controller and cranking it all the way up. You can safely run up to 17.5psi, but keep an eye on your air:fuel mixture. You will likely want at least an upgraded fuel pump to keep from running lean. Stock injectors can handle it. I did this on my 05 WRX w/ forged 2.2 stroker motor, accessport, intake, full exhaust, dp, up, FMIC, and dw300 pump. Making over 350awhp on 33% e85 91 mix

Read my post on how I made 312awhp tuned by circuit motorsports.. I also have a 07 wrx so my mod list can point you in the general direction without breaking the bank
