Default Leakdown Test Results

I had a Leakdown Cylinder test done on my 07 WRX that at the time was at 82,323 miles and the results were:

1=3%
2=15%
3=4%
4=4%

One of these things is not like the other, clearly . Considering that 1,3, and 4 are very low leak and consistent at that wouldn't the problem with cylinder 2 be something relatively simple like ring? I'm not extremely engine competent which is why I'm posting this in the first place so please let me know what you feel the problem would be and what the repair cost would be. If all the others are good I cant imagine I need a rebuild or anything close to that. Before I spend money tuning my car I at least want it at perfect running health. Thank you!

Not simple, not cheap. You may be fine to drive lightly, but i would get new pistons before you send one through the fender.

It could be a valve, durring a leak down it is usually quite simple to tell where exactly the leak is comming from. Listen to the oil fill port, if you hear the hissing there, then yes its more than likely a ring(s), then pop off your IC, if you can hear the hissing in the intake mani, then its obviously an intake valve, and same for the exhaust. Just drive it, 15% really isnt THAT bad. Do you have any numbers? like what pressure were you pumping in and what was coming out?

Was there a reason for the leak down test besides due diligence before modding? Any possibility the number(s) could be off because the test was done wrong? Did you get %14 more than once? What about compression numbers?
