Post How to install your deck in a 2002 WRX?

can someone make a step-by-step guide on how to remove the centre console for a 2002 wrx for installing an aftermarket stereo? I really don't wanna break anything!

1. remove cupholder. there are 2 screws holding it in place.

2. remove the trim around the radio. its held in by plugs so u just pull on it until it snaps out.

3. there are 6 screws holding the radio in place

thanks man, hey does anyone know where i can see the wiring diagram? we had a diagram but it was wrong, if anyone knows what wires are what could you help please?

if u get a metra harness u wont need a wiring diagram. the harness will plug into the stock plug and and u need to wire is the harness to the deck.

the harness will have a wire list on the package that will tell you what wires are what and the deck should have the same on a sticker

thanks a lot for answering joefong. we tried to get a harness today but stereo wherehouse didnt have one, so after much stress we finally got it wired. but thanks for replying.

The wiring harness to get is the Metra or Scoshe Subaru 1994->2001 (or something like that).
