Extra S Subaru transmission fluid for the transmission/rear diff (although it isn't really necessary, but it definitely won't hurt it) - for sure. I use it in BOTH my cars and it is awesome. Only problem is it isn't available up here in quart containers. Only way to get it is to buy a 5 gallon barrel from Subaru, pay the labor to have it put in at the dealership OR find someone else local who has it in stock and see if they'll sell it to you. Retrac I believe has some in his shop.

I use Amsoil 5w30 for the motor and Amsoil 75-90w for the trans and diff. Napa Sells it for a fair price.

Thanks for the input everyone. Amsoil was only really able to be bought on the Mil Base back in my day.

Engine oil I recommend rotella T6 syn 5w40 , been using it for years now and never had a problem or a consumption issue, if your starting it for the first time in 5 years I'd suggest using a 5w30 store brand and disconnect the crank sensor before starting, crank for 10 seconds 3 different times then reconnect the crank sensor and start the car and let it warm up before driving, put about 50-100 miles on it and then change it out for good oil. Just my .02 worth of course
