Tried to once for a charity run/walk. We planned to sleep outside in sleeping bags, but it got super cold. My girlfriend at the time and I put the seats down in the wagon and had to crawl under the rear strut bar... haha. Then we gave up and drove 5 minutes back to my apartment.

Slept a total of 8 hours in 3 days driving
My 03 Wrx from Cali to Connecticut. I couldn't fold the front seats down due to tw fact I had a set of rims in the rear seat. I have no idea how you guys could do it. I would fall asleep and wake up every 30 minutes to reposition myself.

Rear seat is always the best option, plus it's rather comfortable!

I slept in my hatch Impreza with my wife, best friend, and his wife. Long story short, we arrived at 4 in the morning and no one would answer our phone calls. We just laid the back seats down and all spooned in the back. We're very comfortable around each other...

It's not really your car until you sleep in it...

I have slept in my car at rest stops. I just recline the seat as far as possible. I have a micro fiber blanket, and rain pants if it gets too cold. I only do this when I am near falling asleep at the wheel, so comfort isn't a high priority. Haven't done this in quite a while tho, I might not opt to do this again however.

If what you say is true about the circulation, those students who sleep in the library or in class are asking for it down the line. And most students have done this a few times at least.

I'm 6 foot. I've successfully slept in a mini-van before (camping, tent got a hole in it ). It helped that I had a camping mattress and that the mini van only had the front seats in.

I'm 6'7", and couldnt sleep in my 08 LGT, so I sleep in the bed of my friends Chevy. We live in Texas so getting cold isn't an issue

I used to nap in my 05 legacy gt during lunch breaks at work. I decided to sleep in it one morning after a late night at the clubs, because I had formation in the morning. Back seat was....okay seeing as how the seats didn't fold and the fronts weren't too comfortable for that long.

I also fell asleep in my 07 sti with a friend after some late night activities. There is surprising amounts of room with the seats pulled all the way forward in those. And the alacantara seats felt friggin amazing on bare ass lol

But all of those experiences told me to get a hatch this time around. I'm only 5'7 so I think I'll be set when I need to sleep in the back. Folding seats ftw!

I sleep in my '05 STI drivers seat at lunch or while on the road and tired. Reclined back, windows slightly open, no radio. Works for a good cat nap or 2-3 hrs. Usually 1-2 hrs is enough to get me back up and running.

this. or just pay in the back with either the passenger seat or drivers seat all the way back and leaned all the way back with your feet over the console/seat. give you a bit more room than just laying across the back seat.

i take naps all the time during my lunch hr. i leave the seat in the up position, same position as im driving. its not comfortable but when im tired i just knock out.

also did it a few times when im on the road to some place thats 3hrs+. pulled over into a rest stop. turned the car off and just passed out. same style as the nap. took about a 20-30 min nap then got bak on the road. did this when i was heading home from IL to VA(13hr drive solo).

Just drove from Iowa to Socal by myself and I spent 3 nights in my car. The best place to sleep in it I found was my passenger seat. Im 5'10 and I slept 6 hours about each night in rest areas. Bring a pillow and blanket and it will be a little more comfortable. Lay the seat all the way back and snooze man!

When I was driving 17 hours back and forth to work I'd do it. I'd work 2 weeks on 1 week off, so slept in my car quite often. I would just move the front seet back all the way and lower it. If I couldn't fall asleep that way, I'd curl up in the back seat.
Definitely plan out where you are going to put your luggage in order to make it work. I wouldn't recommend it a lot, I had to be super tired to do it and even then I don't think I ever slept for more than a couple hours.
