Angry Someone backed into me!

So the other day, my sister backed into my driver side rear door. Now i'm trying to decide whether to take it into a shop or to buy a new door. Its creased along the bottom, you can kind of see it in the pics.

Do you think a shop would be able to fix it or would I be better off just buying a new door? Does anyone have any good body shops that they recommend?

I know! Thank god! I told her if there was a place to hit, that was it. That door had key marks or deep scratches on it already from the previous owner. (you can see the scratches in the pics, right in the middle of the door and under the handle)

And does anyone have experience with replacing a door? how hard is it?

I'm almost positive that the wagon is different from the sedan but can someone verify that 02-07 sedan doors are all the same?

EDIT: And im talking about the fitment.. I understand that the harnesses are different

They are all the same, I'm beyond positive.

The reason i mention the sedan/wagon difference is because i bet "Subaru life" tried putting one on the other and that's why his door didn't fit.

Also the salvage yard interchange number is the same.

Also the whole damn car is the same for 02-07, it would simply cost too much to change the tooling just to the change the main chassis/doors, you're talking millions of dollars.

Yea the wiring harnesses are different as mentioned above, which could be the reason for the different part numbers?

I'm sure teh part numbers are different, that's how they do it. Doesn't mean it won't fit.

Trust me the doors fit, there is no car in the last 100 years where the door doesn't fit if the chassis configuration is the same.

Was the door on your car from a wagon or was the 07 chassis a wagon?

EVERY junk yard in the nation goes by an interchange number, meaning parts taht "interchange". The 02-07 has the same interchange, that means they "interchange".

If any junk yard in the last 10 years had sold a door and it didn't fit, the interchange would not be the same.

Also called japcarrealgood / barry, whio has a door for sale, says they are all teh same, also rich who is the head mechanic at camelback subaru agrees.

<Also worked at a subaru dealership and has been building and working on subarus for the 10+ years

no worries

08 STI maybe?

02 wrx wagon?

You have to line up the door, it has larger holes tahn the bolts to you can move it around, if you let it settle and tighten the bolts it probably wont shut.

Also $250 for a silver door.
