Well, illinois has the vehicle code online... lists all the requirements like turn signals and the like.

What are you doing that is questionable? You know, legally, you cannot modify the stock suspension's height in any way... think that stops many people?

You can alter suspension height as long as other items are at the proper height ( bumpers, headlights, license plate etc.. ) you can go to the secretary of state and order a copy of the Michigan motor vehicle code for about $17. This will give you every regulation on traffic laws and vehicle equipment regulations. I have a 1995 copy but some things change over the years.

in IL you need turn signals headlights tail lights a seat seatbelts and windsheild wipers<--- im not kidding DOT legal tires and fenders. all the above with 2 license plates (front and back) I asked a cop. that is in IL

Also in IL.: the turnsignals HAVE to be white or amber.

The IL vehicle code IS online...

Yeah, I think in MN you need winshield wipers but you are not required to actually have a windshield.

Maybe this has changed by now, but my dad knew someone who built a hydraulic 3-wheeled car. He did the bare minimum to make it legal. He didn't have a windshield, but he had to wear eye protection when he drove it I think.
