Hey Mark... Not sure if you remember me (Travis), but any chance I could use your skills to help with a boost gauge and oil pressure gauge install? I'll make it worth your time...I just finished the rest of my installs this weekend, but I haven't ever done gauges.

If you're busy or prefer not to, that's fine. I'm sure I can YouTube it, but I'm getting lazy now.

Thanks

Travis

Anyone in Appleton area have any law issues with 20% tint? I want 20% but don't want to risk any issues with our beloved police force.

Thanks

Brian,

I'm in Neenah too. I've got a white 07' STI and a silver 05' STI you might have seen around town. I'll make sure to wave if I see you around.

my f150 has about that, possibly darker as well as a non muffled true dual exhaust and ive never had an issue, for some reason though they like subarus better, really its hit and miss there is only one person in the area i know that has gotten pulled over multiple times for tint.

I have factory privacy glass on two of mine, kinda makes me nervous because I used to get hassled a lot when I was younger. Is there anyway to find out what % was applied in Indiana?

There's a guy that does rim straightening in Appleton off of Prospect ave. I had a rim done by him a few years ago.

I think I've driven by the sign on Prospect, before the gas station. Cost about $100?

If you wanted to get a tune you could make a trip over this way. Me and a couple other people do road tunes.
Might be taking you up on that offer sometime soon. Just got the good engine and tranny put in. Bolting everything up and hoping to have it running soon.

Should I leave the Turbo XS piggyback system in or take it out of the car? I have no idea what tune is on it or what settings it's on...actually I just have no clue about the thing at all.

^If we're going to tune it we'll get rid of the turbo XS piggyback, but don't take it out before you're ready to tune it right away.

Is it okay to use the piggyback even though the engine we put in is set up differently? The piggyback was in the car with pretty much a stock engine with a catback exhaust while the engine going in has an aftermarket up pipe, downpipe, stock catback, STI injectors, aftermarket fuel rail, and a bigger intercooler.

Based on the modifications you listed I would only be concerned with the injectors. The car will still start up and run OK with the larger injectors, but you won't want to drive it in open loop fuelling with a tune.
I would ditch the UTEC. There's nothing the UTEC can do that can't be done with the stock ECU these days.

I've got the ECU that was used in the car with the STI injectors so I'm hoping it's already tuned for it. Just wish I had someone in the area who is familiar with Subarus and tuning to make sure I was all good to go.
