Usdm solenoids do not work with the jdm head. I have tried it.
there is a slight veriance at the end of the solenoid that lets oil pressure by and advances the cam.

Thats all I've ever had in mine and I've never had an issue. The last time I ran them on a car they made 550whp at 18lbs, I doubt the cams were advanced or we would have had issues. Its been a while though so Ill see if I can dig up the datalogs and take a look.

Are you just missing the solenoids or do you think they're not working properly?

his driver side solenoid has no continuity across the terminals. ecu sees this and trips code for open circuit. would do the same thing if it was just left disconnected.

Yeah, as I told 'em I would swap the passenger side in before buying a new sensor. If the problem moves to the passenger side and the drivers side is fixed the issue is the sensor... if the p1308 stays then it is a wiring problem.

Easy peasy.

i have already removed the drivers side solenoid and tested the continuity on it. It is bad. Tested passenger side as well and it is good. So we are already past that point.
