Default Jdm Ej20G thrust 3 toasted,Tiger japan beware

Well this is just a heads up,thanks to Tiger Japanese Auto Parts Ltd my Jdm EJ20G thrust bearing is toast
Bought the motor it was not what I ask for they lied told them to take it back ,they never did so after 2 week I went ahead and use the block ,I should have known something was wrong when I got it tune at only 2000 miles, the clutch was hard on take off and then soft on slowing down like if there was air in the clutch cylinder (so I taught) well it was the thrust bearing# 3 gone bad back and forth play of .200 that's why they did not take the motor back it was bad motor to begin with, its not a daily and i only put 4000 miles on this jdm block.
I will be selling the block ,rings and more that I will not be used ,here are some pics of the thrust #3 .

DONT buy from Tiger Japanese you have been warned.

Another board I am on claims that these engines come from tsunami cars. Osaka, Tiger, Jdmenginedepot.

That is why they are 5-1000 cheaper than all the other vendors

Why not rebuild it properly? Good used cranks are widely available in the US.

Yeah, just grab a 1.8 or 2.2 used crank and some new bearings and your done. No machine work needed.

2 of the cylinders has lines for piston skirt and all 4 bores are on the high limit,so the block will have to be bored out and honed, alone with new pistons, rings,Acl main bearing,Acl connecting rod bearing=$$$$$
So I well just rebuilt the Ej205 Usdm block which will cost much less to rebuild that I had up for sale, thanks for your input guys.

There is no difference in rebuid cost for a center thrust crank block or a later rear thrust crank block....

Marnix I do know that the main bearing for thrust 3 and 5 cost the same,I am rebuilding the Usdm only cause I dont have to have the regrind the crankshaft nor do I have to get pistons and bore + hone the cylinders.
