I thought it was finally time to create a journal for my WRX.

I bought my WRX from the dealership in September 2011. Upgraded from a 2003 20th anniversary GTI that wasn't giving me any peace of mind breaking down all the time. So far I'm loving the WRX

Day 1: brought it home with factory sti short throw shifter

Mudflaps!

Exhaust: Invidia q300

Debadged:

Kartboy short shifter

BC BR coils:

Hand made my own shift boot to match the red stitching on seats and steering wheel.

Rota Grids 18x9.5

The most beautiful color from Subaru imo.. Nice look, are you going to tint windows? Cause you shouldnt :P

Thanks! I want to, just haven't had the time to yet. If I do it's only going to be 30% all around. Why do you say I shouldn't?

hows the difference between the factory short shifter and the kartboy?

the difference was not worth the $100. It is marginally shorter. I wish I had gotten the adjustable cobb one. I've felt that one and its shorter than the Kartboy one. But I forgot to mention that I also got front and rear shifter bushings. Those did make a big difference. The shifts are much more crisp and you really feel when it's in gear.

cool. I got the front and rear shifter bushings and was wondering about the shifter. Im petty sure my old RS I had did in fact have a kartboy shifter that I mistaken for stock and I purchased a TWM performance shifter and that was much better quality and shorter in length.

I did the same thing, but besides the bushings, what really made a tactile difference was putting in a WC Lathewerks shift knob - it definitely dropped it down a bit. Btw, nice car so far!

haha i don't mind it. Its gotta be done before this weekend for OC AWD anyways. cleaned inside and out for show pics

Yeah... I went the past few years but I have a wedding to go to on Saturday so I won't be attending this year

There is always next year. This your 1st year attending?

It is! I'm really excited. I've always gone to the vw shows such as h20 out here though. Will probably also still go to that to show them up

I've saw videos on Youtube from the VW H20 shows down there. I wouldn't take the Subie out at night with the crazy people racing/doing burnouts/ect.
