There is a guy near stark his forum name is tex look for him in the north florida subaru group thread he may be able to help you out.

Uncle..Not sure if you visit here a bunch but thought I'd let you know I'm in your neck of the woods this week..I'm in Midland TX which is a few miles away but closer then Jax :-)
It's hot here as heck and windy with no trees. I still Love the East cost with the green.

Mixed emotions here Ben. I'd love to see you come home, but hate it that the move and job didn't work out.

Damn man, that sucks, I was looking forward to getting crazy in some JDM rides on my trip to the land of the rising sun. I hope that the "might" turns into a "not coming home because things are better now".

Whatup guys, long time no post.

I'm still over in Tallahassee, now have little girl (1.5 yrs) who is awesome. Still working too hard, especially for a government job.

My silver bugeye is still running great with ~108k miles, except for my front O2 sensor died on me yesterday morning (on my birthday no less). I've started checking the threads here and at scoobymods, seems pretty straight forward replacement. Any tips from you guys? Should I just go pickup a Bosch sensor at advance auto?

Make sure its a SUBARU specific sensor or it won't work right. I tried a generic O2 sensor and it sucked ass

d000000d..wassUP??? happy b-day man

soak the sensor threads with liquid wrench or pb blaster a few times and use a big wrench to take the sensor out...you may need to cut a notch in the heat shield to take it off ...and ya may have to whack the wrench with a hammer a bit

O2 replacement went well 30 min from jack up to down. The only surprise was the little bracket that the wire is zip tied to. They sure are proud of those upstream sensors

I started a new job July 9th, as an "Area Sales Manager" for Performance Food Group. Basically, selling food/paper products/etc. to restaurants/hotels/etc. With that, comes a lot of driving. With that said, my territory is almost a 1/3 of the area (Macclenny, Baldwin, Whitehouse/Chaffee Rd., Beaver Street, Avondale, some of Downtown, some of Riverside, some of San Marco, some of north Mandarin, Middleburg, Oakleaf Plantation, Argyle Forest, Orange Park... if you know any restaurant owners in these areas, let me know!). My average week is going to be anywhere from 700-1200 miles of driving. I needed something that was awesome on mpg, dependable, affordable, and cheap/easy to maintain. I was looking at buying a buddy's '94 Volvo 850 Wagon, but that fell through. My less-than-perfect/lack thereof credit meant that a personal loan to get an alternative wasn't a viable option. Went to the O'Steen VW dealer, and was able to get financed for a CPO 2011 Jetta TDI 6spd, with only 16K on it. I absolutely love it. It has all of the standard options from a TDI, and the 6spd trans; and the only ones it doesn't have that I wish it did, are the Fender stereo, navigation, the rear window screen, and foglights. Other than that, it's everything I wanted in a car. I've already put almost 1600 miles on it, in ~2 weeks... and I'm still in training.

Only have a couple pics, but it's only major upgrades it will get will be a set of 18" MkV GTI 5-hole wheels powdercoated black, and possibly an Eibach Pro-Kit.

Congrats Evan - on both the jerb and the car!

If interested, I can put you in touch with a former STI owner who has been driving a Jetta TDI for the past few years.
