Default BRZ irks

OK owners, the car is an awesome drivers car. But what are your irks?

Mine:
1. Third Brake light placement...looks like a table sitting on the rear shelf when using the rear view mirror.
2. Interior storage...Where the hell is the sunglasses storage compartment? And were the center storage cupholders really needed? They are useless....LOL

my two biggest irks:

1) the radio. The navigation and station selection seems really terrible- only a forward and backward button, or preset forward/backward. Terrible folder navigation, unless you are using an ipod (and I happen to use a windows phone, which doesn't even work with the USB port, which sucks...) I had a scare the other day trying to get it to re-sync the bluetooth to my phone after it mysteriously lost it, and almost curbed my rim. I hate touchscreen systems, you haveto be staring at the system to know what button to hit- physical buttons are so much better, because you can feel them.

2) torque dip. At first I didn't mind, because around town driving is below the dip and all out racing is above the dip- but when you are aggressively driving around town, you hit that darn torque dip every time, since you shift at around 5k or so... drops you right back into that torque dip every shift. argh! My nameless performance parts have helped smooth the dip out some, and the developmental intake from them that I had on for a few days smoothed it out a TON more, but... it's not on the car anymore. I'm guessing an intake and a tune will get it all the way out, and I can't wait for that.

For anyone who isn't a BRZ/FR-S owner (ie: someone that's had experience living with the BRZ day after day) that would like to add their $0.02 in, please do so in my thread.

2014 BRZ requests (non-drivetrain) to SOA

This thread is specifically for owners.

I received the OP's (lolz) permission to post this.

Our Acuras do that all the time too. I think there is a periodic update that happens which causes the phones to disconnect.

I could be wrong.

Likewise.

Also I wish I could get out a little easier.

Same issue with wife's 2011 Forester. Not sure if it's an issue with the radio or with the cell phone itself.

my irk...

replace the blank on my BRZ below the 6spd shifter with a button that turns off all drive assists. Unlike the text in the owners manual that says press TRAC OFF for 3 seconds. its more like 8 seconds.

Just give me a second button for that.

Should have come with better tires. But thats a minor issue I can overcome.

No accessable rear seat rail bolts to tie a harness to.

I agree with Opie...

my personal grips:
-WTH is the wannabe MPH gauge on the left..It barely moves... :/..that space is better used for more real gauges...The Digital on in the center is PLENTY..

-not a fan of the bluetooth..it seems kinda wonky..
-the Nav is kinda difficult to use
-The side blindspots are terrible..
-hate that it has minimal camber tuning..

This. Although the bluetooth works fine for me so far.
