Default need a exhaust still.

I need a exhaust. Ive got three choices right now:

apex universal n1 about 450

kakimoto about 500

apex ni catback 900

I want a exhaust with the least sound. Any Suggestions?

Probably going to add and extra resonator and silencer

Well if you're going to add a resonator and silencer it wouldn't really matter which one you go with because things will be silenced pretty well by those two items.

Those 3 choices in your list are pretty much "loud" anyway so just go with whichever want you like the best. Lookswise that is, and that "pimp" factor.

Personally I'd go with the full Apex'i N1 system, or the Kakimoto since it's a bit more rare and get custom piping done up. I assume that's just the rear section?

If you want the least sound, check out Lachute www.lac-ss.com. The Brospeed one they sell is stainless, a great fit, and not too loud, but a really nice tone. Plus, you're buying it from Subaru (it's listed as a Subaru part) so no hassels from SOC about warrenty.

FYI: The Brospeed can also be bought at any mufler shop under the parent name... Bosal (Canada). You can get the Bosal if you want for about 1/3 the price anywhere else but a dealership. That said, The 'Brospeed' is shiny, the Bosal is not.

Since you're going the "tin-can" route, why not check out the much cheaper immitations, Vibrant (CDN) or Ractive. A straight through can is a straight through can, pick your tip: straight, rolled, horned, angle-cut or straight. All the tin cans do the same thing for power, only the note changes but that will change w/ the resonator (length & diam.).

Since you're in Edmonton, try Alta-Custom Exh. on 50th St. "Chico da man" can get you anything you can think of, plus they specialize in custom work. I am NOT promoting them, just that I have never heard anyone having a bad experience w/ them.

Steve,
maybe 1st full catback, but i think i'm the first brullen owner in town. Brullen didn't make a full application for our cars when i ordered mine, so i just got a universal muffler (i think that's how it worked) w/ custom piping.

How does urs sound compared to mine?

chris's exhaust is still one of the best sounding i've heard. the subaru specific ones made from brullen factory sound a little different. the resonators change the sound a lot too.

Come on inpreza ... what is wrong with my Brullen? You've heard it before. Its quieter than Chris' exhaut I guess with the resonator.

As for full catback exhausts, I have one too. Same setup, 2.25" x dual 3" tips except in quiet configuration. Its nice.
