Default double din head units

I have seen a few, but am wondering if anyone out there has or knows of some cool double din head units. I am looking for the most up to date info, so a search is out of the question!

If someone has one out there please post a picture and a brief description of the unit! I have seen a kenwood that looks pretty cool. It was on Crowbar's WRX!

edit: spelling (oops!)

Man, this is a huge question. Perhaps we should look at a few pieces of information. If you could answer a few questions I could better help you.

1.) Satallite Radio.
Do you want Sirrius or XM? Does it even matter to you?

2.) CD Changer
Do you want mulit disc's in your head unit? How about changer control functionality?

3.) MP3's
Do you want it to be able to play MP3's?

4.) Tape/MD
Do you need either of these functions?

Answering those would help us out alot.

I just orderd the top of the line Kenwood from crutchfield, the silver one with DSP. pics to follow upon install. There are many to choose from the problem is most are not that great compared to the single dins or JDMs, but I feel the single din looks kinda crappy in the WRX with the empty pocket, and the options for filling the other din are often limited on a purley cosmetic bases. Alpine offers one with CD/MD but I believe its last years model and is way expensive for such, Kenwood has a bunch all with CD/tape features but the lower end models are crappy looking, clarion also has a few infact theres a sweet one with a lcd screen available RC at online car stereo. There are also many JDM models that are awsome, and available at the melting pot, though I am not sure how well they will work even with an FM modulator, plus no warrenty. Otherwise the US selections are pretty limited as usual we get screwed.

Alright stereo guru's - I'm outta my league on this, so I'll fill in the blanks and ask for recommendations!

(Not meant to hijack the thread, but figured it'll keep it rollin)

1.) Satallite Radio.
Do you want Sirrius or XM? Does it even matter to you?
I would probably choose neither, but if it is "included" in the recommendation, it wouldn't matter.

2.) CD Changer
Do you want mulit disc's in your head unit? How about changer control functionality?
I like having in-dash 6 disc changer. (Or something similar) Control with the stock changer is adequate for me

3.) MP3's
Do you want it to be able to play MP3's?
That would be nice. I have about 30 gigs of MP3's, so a nice cd of a few hundred songs would be cool.

4.) Tape/MD
Do you need either of these functions?
What does MD stand for?!?! Haven't used a tape in years.

An LCD of some sort would be cool too!

(Again, I'm a total n00b when it comes to stereo stuffis, so I'd appreciate any recommendation from you guys!

TIA

I would agree with CirrusWRX on most all the options he wants. A MD (minidisk) would be nice too!

So, the units on the melting pot have no warranty due to them being JDM? Maybe I missunderstood, it happens...

I really dont care about XM satellite radio...

thanks everyone!

Yes and no. Yes, they have a warranty but it only good in Japan so no, the warranty is not good in the U.S.

I must say though that these are the hotest units in Japan right now with the exception of the Kenwood unit displayed on the site. It has been replaced by a newer model.

BTW, the manuals for these units are in Japanese so be prepared with your language skills or to get it translated.
