Default NEW Wing Riser Kit 08-12 WRX/STI

NEW Wing Riser Kit 08-12 WRX/STI Hatchback

GREAT NEW LOOK
The PERRIN wing riser kit lifts the rear wing up off the hatch for better air flow and an aggressive new look.

ADJUSTABLE
The PERRIN wing riser kit is height and angle adjustable so you can dial in the exact look you want. With the PERRIN wing riser kit height is adjustable from 1.1" to 1.7" and the angle is adjustable from 0 - 4 degrees.

CLEAN REAR WINDOW
The rear window of your Subaru will stay cleaner as the air will now travel down across the window instead of swirling under the wing.

CONSTRUCTION
The PERRIN Performance wing riser kit features billet aluminum riser standoffs which have been anodized black for corrosion protections. All bolts and screws are stainless steel and will never rust or corrode. The trunk lid limiters are made of vinyl coated SS wire and other non-corrosive material.

I love the idea, especially helping to keep the back window cleaner. But the impact to the hatch's ability to open all the way seems pretty substantial.

Is there anything to seal the hatch opening for the wires running to the wing?

Thanks for taking the time to design this product. I'm seriously considering it.

Ok so my wife just ordered this for me for my birthday! I have a question we a couple really. I autocross my car a lot! And some track days. Has this been tested at speed for stability? any info on downforce numbers on different angles etc..? I also was wondering how far does this restrict the rear hatch from opening? If this should be a pm so sorry

Do you guys have any frontal views of the whole car with the wing risers? Or side views of the whole car with the wing risers? I'd definitely love to see some.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Now that you've had it for a week, what do you think?

Are the cable penetrations sealed up?
Any chance of water getting into the hatch or wing?

Well it's been almost two weeks since the wing install. And.......
I still LOVE it! I have had many compliments about the wing at the autocross last weekend and the two Subie meet I've attend since then (busy week). On the 2nd day I was grabbing the baby bag out of the trunk and forgot it was there and smack my noggin pretty good. But I have enough Clearance the get my race wheels in and out plus jack etc. for race days. And I have enough room to fit the big a$& stroller in and out my wife said we had to have.. the next big speed event for our series is not until september of this year at nccar. I hit speeds of 118 on that track and would be looking forward to see if it helps any. Especially under braking. Car felt great till trying to woah her down from 118 to 35 ish, rear was really squirley....
Thanks for reading
The was a hole remaining from one of the tabs one the wing which Perrin provided a huge roll of vynal for the job cut a piece to cover that.. And they provided a cable cover to hide and protect the wires, there is a rubber grommet there from the factory just couldn't see it.

Thanks for the reply and additional info.
Have you noticed less dirt/dust buildup on the back window or rear of the car?

There is certainly no water drip after drying on the rear window! As far as the dirt my car since the wing install has been in the garage mostly at night so hasn't got to dirty yet I'll let you know if I notice a difference

Sorry for delay. No spacers in middle. Two spacers on the outer posts gave me 1 inch lift with no angle... Thinking about hanging the angle slightly. Deffinitly will at grip fest this year. Hitting speeds of 130 on the track. We will see if it helps!

Did you use the vinyl provided by perrin? I was thinking about it but decided not to. Perrin says you can use plasti dip which I would probably be doing down the road.

I used one corner of it to cover the center hole that was exposed due the clip being gone.

Hello Ntrpriz; just found about the mod tonight, which seems interesting. You're the first one I read to be so excited about it.

Description indicates different heights and angles, so, is that the more aggressive setup, mid, or "softest". Also could you show a full car side pic, along with other angles of the full car? Daylight too?

Regarding use, any vibrations or noise, either slow or at speed? I read there is an undercover piece, does it really cover wires and hoses?

Is the rear washer affected by the mod? Problems in the car wash tunnel (if you do that)?

Throwing mine on this weekend, woo cant wait! PS be careful when removing the 2 center bolts on wing, by the wiring, I heard they have loctite and can snap easily. Spray something there BEFORE removal to make em all loosey goosey

Unless your stroller is un-collapsible or your kids are giants I think it should fit

Btw, This has to be like my 50th add-on upgrade and it is by far the best because it single handedly changed the look of my car the most.

This will separate you from the pack! Unless of course you are part of the Wolf Pack and would like to remain a sheep

I've had mine on nearly a year. It's a pain to install yourself and also get the right washer spacing as well. I tried my best to install without using the chords that lower the hatch when opened but there was really no way around it.

Also if you want to adjust it forward/back that's also not much of an option because then the inside holes will not line up to the bolts.

I have no regrets and would do it all again. Sometimes the cheapest mods are the worst to install.
