Default Need help with jdm ej207 identification

I was sent some pictures of a sti version "7" that I was purchasing and decided to run the identification numbers provided. The transmission code is ED-TY856WB3KA and the ECU id code is 22611AH581. It also has a serial number under the barcode 225122. I believe that this in fact a version 8. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

That is a version 8 (03 STI) Twin scroll ECU code. I don't know about the trans code. Post up the pictures of the motor.. it'd help to identify it.

Thanks for getting back to me on the info. I was able to stop the error from occuring. Now they have sent me another pic of the ECU that they are going to send. The code is AF480 which is a version 7 sti ecu. The thing that worries me is that the serial number is 112200-7544. I have seen 41,41,45,46, and 48 in v7 ecu's but never 44 in the id number. Any ideas?

Default jdm ecu id help!!

having trouble getting the pics to post but here is everything that I have on the new ecu

V8 in large bold in top center of id tag. Directly under that is a black line with the numbers 22611AF480. Under that is the numbers 112000-7544. The voltage of 12V is under that and finally a barcode with the numbers 207544..M? the last digit is unreadable.

The big V8 stamp means it is a version 7 ecu, excellent work subaru design team.

But it doesn't really matter anyway since you can just flash the SD rom on it and be set.

Thank you for your help. Do you have any idea where i can find a table to decipher the rest of it? I guess i should be happy that at least now i'm looking at a v7? ecu. I can email a pic of it to you but for some reason i keep being told that the format of my photo is invalid. Oh well..

Tranny code says its a 2003 STi W/DCCD http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1225160

I believe V8 started in 2004 however some very late 2003 motors are also v8 motors. The twin scroll turbo and one piece red intake manifold is the big give away that its a v8.
