I was cleaning out the car today. I remove the OEM rubber mats to clean them. My wife has worn down the mat where she rest her gas pedal foot. I bought these mats in June. What crap! I also noticed the carpet is pretty worn on the gas pedal side of the mat, below the center console. These OEM mats are pretty much useless.

I might have to fork out the money for the front Weathertechs

how many miles?

i'm using the factory carpet mats for now (rubber ones are on the shelf for when the weather gets crappy). so far so good on the carpeted ones with 3300 miles on the car.

I'm approaching 10k miles with no issues with my OEM all weather mats. Just washed them this weekend. They don't have nearly the coverage that weathertech provides, I'll switch eventually. But for now, I see no wear on mine. Have never even put the carpet ones in from day one. Saving those in plastic wrap for whenever I see this 10 yrs from now.

My Weathertech mats arrived yesterday and I absolutely love them. The OEM all weather ones are 2 weeks old with no issues but I do like the extended coverage the WTs offer.

You really can't see in the pic. But the rubber is worn compared to the other parts of the mat. You can see the fuzzy carpet also.

My carpet does look like that there, but my mats seem to show no signs of wear yet. Weathertech will cover that whole carpet area.

5400 miles in and my oem drivers mat is shot at the gas pedal. All weather mats are on the Christmas list.

I actually have some glossy magazine pages slipped under the OEM mat to make up for the lousy coverage on the right near the center console, it helps prevent crap from going underneath the mat.

Do these fit well on the Sedan? I heard there were bracket problems before.

My carpet has a a tear right below the left foot strike plate. I just bought the car too, didn't even think to move the floor mat out of the way. I will be ordering a set of these in 5 minutes. I don't want water entering that tear and getting below the carpet. That'd probably = bad news down the road.
I had the older style weather techs in a grand prix and they were excellent! It kept the carpet looking brand new below the mats.

If it's a new car, do you think you should get the carpet replaced under warranty?

Sorry, I should have specified. It's new to me. Its a 2008 with 46,000 miles. =/ I emailed SubaruUSA and the carpet replacement would have fallen under the 3/36,000 mile bumper to bumper. If only the previous owner would have caught it before than. Sad I'm going to put some duct tape on the carpet and then put the weather techs in. Just a preventive measure. Total Cost for WeatherTech to ship to Marquette, Michigan is $117.95 =)

Just got a set of these and they are awesome! $187 total including a rear mat.
They cover way better than the stock crap. Why can't any of the factory mats cover that hump under the gas pedal?
I never thought I'd be so jazzed about floor mats...

I purchased the weathertech front mats and love them. They have great coverage. I did not get the rear mats and I am interested to hear what you think about them. would you recommend them? Could you post a pic of the rear mats?

Yeah I think the rear comes with the front now. Its one long mat that covers the driveshaft "hump" in the middle. Its awesome. Maybe you could call them and tell them you got yours and the rear wasn't included, and maybe they'll be nice and send you one or give you a deal. I HIGHLY reccomend the rear liner!
I'll try to get some pics posted in a day or so.
These mats really look good in the car.

I was thinking of even ordering the rear cargo mat from WT. But the factory ones on ebay look like they'll do just fine. They cover the cargo area and are half the price. If any factory or aftermarket mats had the coverage of the WT's I would have bought them. But man, these are pretty spiffy. My work boots seem to have no effect on them so far!
