Default 2012 wrx hatch Ultimate racing catback mini mufflers no resonator

Finally getting about to making a review of this exhaust. I purchased if from the website http://www.ultimate-racing.com/Produ...rCatback.shtml for $750 with $50 shipping from canada to TN. It did take them a while to process it and get it out ~5 business days. Was at my house 7 days later. Product arrived in a big bog with lots of fill so there was no damage of any kind. Came with all the gaskets and new bolts washers and nuts. I would have liked to see a 750 dollar exhaust come with a little longer bolts and lock nuts. The piping is 3" all the way with no necking down at downpipe flange but bolted up to factory downpipe with no problems using factory donut and spring bolts. The bigger bend are mandrel bent and the smaller ones are welded angles. The welds seem just fine with thick flanges i dont expect to have a problem with those. Installation was good fitment was ok... There was an initial issue with the left tip being slightly higher than the right and i just mean a couple mm. After driving it around for a couple weeks and messing with the bracket and hanger it has seemed to even out. I cant even tell now. Overall i would definitely recommend this exhaust to someone who wants a different look than the normal quad everyone seems to get. I would also buy it again. Last thing the sound is nice a deep as you would expect and pretty loud city driving between 2-4k rpm with a load on the motor. On the highway though its another story... It quiets down so much and there is so little drone i really dont notice it cruising, the wind and radio easy over power it.

Here is a quick vid of it revving maybe later i will get a video of it driving.

It had just rained today so its a little dirty

Just got the invidia downpipe on here is a great clip of a launch, exhaust def pops more with a downpipe on there but not any louder. Still no drone after 2k miles on the exhaust.

I do like the single outlets rather than the quad. You said you don't have any drone on the highway? Lucky. How loud is the exhaust in the city. I have a perrin DP & CBE but it just isn't as loud as most of the older subaru's in the area.

It is pretty loud in the city. It resonates well off buildings and other vehicles. Here is a gopro vid of it from outside the pipes. Sounds sexy though

i went from a perrin cat back on my 08 sedan to this UR catback and holy hell is it a lot louder, i like it but im just hoping im not getting pulled over every week for it, im still debating getting a resonator for it to kill the volume a little. i also have a double perrin catted dp and agency power unequall headers. but this is really the only way to make your 08+ subbey sound like an 02-07 without going with an ugly single exit.

Yeah I don't blame you my car is extremely loud, with the equal length header it is even louder at WOT. Right now it's not bad cruising on the highway it's pretty quiet but before with the factory manifold the drone on the highway got to be bad. It was okay at first when the exhaust was new and I had the factory downpipe after that and a few thousand miles put on the exhaust it got a little louder. I have contemplated buying just the resonated midpipe from them to test it out and see how it sounds

Is this how it is also with the invidia catted DP? this is the exact setup im looking at now it sounds awesome but my main concern is drone. if you say its not bad thats awesome then. my brother has invidia TBE catted and resonated and that is the max drone i want to listen to really, any clue how it sounds compared to that set up by any chance? and also how loud compared to that

The faster I go the quieter it gets really (to a point). As long as I am not engine braking down a hilll or going up a hill with a load on the motor.

Typically I am doing 70 something around 3k
