Bug spray, sun screen, lots of water. The basics for roasting in the sun for a few days and trying not to get bit by bugs to much.

I say run your street tires in DS. You could beat a few people, you never know what will happen. Do you have an off day, does half the class have a bad weekend? Who knows.

But yeah, that sucks about no one in RTA. I think I am going back to RTA after this weekend though.

RTA won't survive if people see low entry and just auto switch to stock class or elsewhere. Of course RTA is the weakest of the RT* classes due to our unfortunately small pool.

So pissed I'm not going to be there... spun a bearing in my SM '98 RS two weeks ago at a local auto-x so I'll be spending my 4 day weekend pulling the engine and tearing down the replacement.

I was alone in RTA so I found a ride in another class. Still on the waitlist(#2) for Toledo since 5/23 and have witnessed at least 25 people get in since.

RT* isn't exactly a permanent class type anyway. The point of it is to measure whether people really do want street tires in stock classes.

Bug spray isn't really needed - there are just a few bugs in the early morning hours. Once the sun comes out and it hits 9am or so, they are completely gone.

Sunscreen/water on the other hand....

I'll suggest bringing large umbrellas. That way you can have a shady spot to stand under and a pop up tent if you have them.

And as Ace mentioned LOTS of water/sunscreen

I have been running at Devens for 10 years now and I've never had to use bug spray. No one is stopping you from bringing it though.

Over the years, NER has trained the mosquitoes to identify and go after out-of-towners. The scent marker is the NJ smell that gets attached to their clothing, skin, hair and car as they pass through.

You're right, I completely forgot about that. Damn it feels good to be a New Englander.
