Default GSC 272 STI Cams on a hybrid motor, any problems?

I ran into a problem with my build I was going to buy the GSC ej205 272 cams but there on back order for 9 months and I cant wait that long. I want to stick with GSC cause I have the GSC springs and retainers here. So my question is will there be any problem running acvs cams in my 2.0 head. I know I would have to close the holes up for the acvs but is there anything else that can be a problem?

Thanks

You'll have retard timing issues. Don't do it, not worth the trouble you will have. There's always the options of getting Kelford cams just as good if not better and will work with the GSC stuff, I'm pretty sure.

Just called my parts guy and had him order the kelford. They seem to have real good reviews and from what your saying I just went ahead and got them ordered.

Thanks Drew'sRex for the input

Kelfords are one of the best. Money well spent, especially on those cams.

Kelfords cams are really good but the gsc 's would of worked just fine , they will only be retarded if you run the avcs Cam gears . I'm using the avcs gsc s2 om my built 2.0 and they work awesome
