Default Paint Chip advice! (please open!)

I've read the multiple threads on how this stuff actually works, so no, its not just another thread of the same subject.

I just got my package from Dr. ColorChip, but I've realized that my car is 3 months old, and from what I have heard, the paint takes 6 months to fully cure. For example, supposedly your not suppose to wax the car till 6 months after purchasing it. I don't know to what extent that is true, but What I am getting at is: Is it safe to use this product on a car that was purchased 3 months ago?

If it is not safe to use yet, then please advise me what to do about this: I have a small chip on my trunk, and you can see the metal, so I don't want to leave it exposed too long and I really don't want it to prematurely rust there, so what would you suggest i do?

Paint is fully cured when it leaves the factory. It was baked there, it has sat in lots, on ships, etc for over a month from when it left the factory.

Use your Dr. Colorchip, and make sure you are regularly caring for the paint to keep it looking sharp!
