Default Root Cause DTC P2227 Code

Has anyone been able to track down the root cause of a P2227 Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance? The car has an AEM Map sensor, and AEM IAT sensor but other then that all oem sensors.

Barometric pressure might mean ambient atmospheric pressure, rather than manifold pressure. Anyone know for sure?

The newer cars have the BAP sensor integrated in the LH side Secondary Air valve. Upon starting the car it compared the values of the MAP sensor and the BAP sensor in that Secondary Air valve.

Did you get rid of these air valves? If not, use a LOGGER to check what values you are seeing from the BAP sensor as well as the MAP sensor and you might be able to answer your own question.

Jasper.

The older vehicles (like the 2.0L's) had the unit integrated into the ECU. It is a separate sensor from the MAP sensor.
