I only log on the downward slope of a 20% grade. Last pull netted around 1000whp on VD.

great read...for all of you wondering cj did change out his o2 sensor. i had an issue with idling and the front o2 was the culprit.

great job at the track cj! junior tuned...nuff said. but i say the same thing about phatron.

high fives all around.

also...im running an act hd 6 speed pressure plate with act 6 puck sprung with oem 6 speed fly wheel and love it.
but im not planning on over 500whp.

Yea I couldn't be happier...ok maybe if it would have ran a 10 but it is still pretty impressive and can't be that many out there that have ran faster on the stock engine/clutch.

No speed restrictions at your track? Here in jersey, 11.49 or faster or 130mph must have a bar.

That is an NHRA regulation. This place didn't seem to care much about tech lol...they walked up to my car, wrote some numbers on the side, grabbed my seat belt and said I was good to go ha.

I don't think they expected it to be as fast as it was but they never came and checked. The track crew was loving the Subaru, at the end of the night the track announced over the loud speaker they would pay my admission if I beat this old Mach 1 mustang who was running pretty similar times but unfortunately my clutch was already toasted.

for the most part places have that 11.49 or under or at over 130 or something for that rule, cage or bar (forgot) and the fire suit, I got booted but got 3 11.2 runs before I left the track

So it is gearing up to the start of a new season. Picked up some new wheels/tires to help get the 60ft down but I had a question for some of you guys...

I want to ditch my intake that is routed into my fender and go with some kind of really short intake in the engine bay or ideally just a filter on the end of the turbo. My question though is if I ran just a filter on the turbo what do you guys do for a vacuum source for the crankcase ventilation? Right now I am just routing all the PCV stuff back to a port on the intake pipe but I want to clean up the engine bay b/c it looks like hell.

Anyways I'd like to hear a few opinions on just venting the PCV to atmosphere or finding a different source?

Is your PVC system unmodified? What EM are you running?

AP with SD.

Modified in what way? I have everything routed similar to the factory just back to the new intake I am using.

Initially I was thinking purge/evap system but now that I'm on the same page as you read on:

I run the the Crawford AOS so my PCV system is modified I guess. I no longer have the PCV solenoid valve in the system but I still get crankcase ventilation when the turbo is spooling because I added a nipple on my intake for the AOS to draw a vacuum from because I figured some crankcase ventilation is better than none and since I'm breaking in a new motor I wanted to give the rings the best chance to seal. Crawford says you can just vent to atm if you like but like I said, some is better than none.
