Default 91 legacy ac r124a compatible?

CAn I recharge my ac with 134a or do I need to change something?

Read the placard under the hood. It will say either r-12 or r-134a

No, I'm pretty sure all first gen Legacys from 1989-1993 were the R12 system. R134a wasn't offered until the last year in 1994.

If you look on the top of your condenser, it should say either R12 or R134a, I'm positive you will find R12 unless it has been retrofitted with R134a condenser/dryer/compressor.

Ya that's what I thought I'll convert it so it's jus condenser dryer compressor that need to be replaced
